Thoughts on these breeds: Brittany spaniel German shorthaired pointers Setters :D
Brittany spaniel : Smartish dogs with spaniel like looks but we don’t vibe at all because they’re not even spaniels the big fakers. I don’t like their faces. They’re too dainty looking and I don’t like how their nose upturns at all. That nose is too pale, their fur is too feathery for how short it is and way too lightly built.
Tri-colours are the best of the Brittany - with the less white the better.
German shorthaired pointers: The only pointing breed I have on my “maybe one day” list! I’ve been quite enamored with the few that I’ve met - there’s a solid resiliency about them I quite enjoy in addition to their “smaller” size. Major fan of the ticking and coloured ears. The lack of brushing required is also a win.
Setters: Beautiful dogs, visually striking. Every single one gives me the impression of being incredibly sweet while elevator music plays in the background. Do not think I could cope owning an elevator dog that requires that much grooming. But oh man how they move.
