but these two… my two beloved brain children with the amazing @stickbites bouncing ideas back n forth with me has delved into a giant fucking fanfic plot it’s insane. i wont give u everything because i do really want to write this soon but here’s kinda how they developed to me

ok i first gotta start. this is a lesbian fic, not a wlw of sapphic fic. they are both lesbians and have gender associated to lesbianism. when u read below this will make a bit more sense! but just had to clarify this first:))

will is a butch; this is their gender (if ur curious read here!). their pronouns are they/them (although i am toying with they/he, we will see. maybe it’s part of their arc?! idk yet). so, they are still a lesbian, and them not being a woman doesn’t change that, because lesbianism does not form to societal binaries and norms!! although, i do need to reiterate that men cannot be lesbians, and lesbians cannot be attracted to men. if will does end up using they/he prns in this universe, they will still be a butch, not a man, so is therefore still a lesbian, and mack will still be a lesbian!

(has anyone else’s tl on twt been about ‘bi lesbians’ and how lesbians can ‘still be attracted to men’ for the last like week — WHICH ARE BOTH WRONG AND INCORRECT! — because mine unfortunately has been. so i just felt the need to reiterate this to anyone who doesn’t know much about lesbianism/gender associated with lesbianism. if u have any questions feel free to ask me, i’m mors than happy to explain and educate!!!)

ok good segue into mack: she is a lesbian, with she/her pronouns! she doesn’t concern herself with gender and thinks of herself as a woman, but is likely more aligned with the idea of femme as a gender (read more here)

adding to this: will is legally willow smith, but they’ve been called will since they told their parents (who were weirdly accepting) that they weren’t a girl at age like nine. and they’re in the process of getting their name and their gender legally changed!

mack is mackenzie celebrini. her family and childhood friends call her kenzie or kenz, but her college friends call her miki for some reason. “mack” is a will smith special! they start calling her mack in their head and they call her it one day and she gets very confused but ends up blushing a lot and will keeps doing it to piss her off but she ends up loving it lmao

OK SO NOW THATS DONE ONTO THE FUN OF IT ALL!!!

this idea started as will and mack being in the same class at college, where mack is this gorgeous woman with long hair and always wearing pink and just makes will’s jaw Drop every time she walks into the classroom. and mack eventually notices and starts flirting with them, and will’s such a loser they literally can’t reply back. they drop books (mack bends down seductively to pick it up for them and they run away because holy shit her cleavage) and run into walls and stutter anytime mack tries to talk to them because. it’s mack

this then developed into the idea of mack becoming more and more flirtatious throughout the semester, and then eventually on the last day of classes mack bites the bullet and invites will back to her apartment, making it very known she wants to hook up (they do!) and then they fall in love

which this then turned into my whole fic idea, which essentially is. butch!will is on the mens hockey team at their college (think of the person on tiktok who’s nonbinary and on the mens rowing team! do u know who im talking ab!!). mack grew up wanting to play hockey, but ended up being forced into Another Sport (to be revealed later) by her dad. and she’s great at this sport and she loves it and she’s going to the olympics for it, but they resent will for being so good at hockey and being better than like half the boys, because that could’ve been her if she was allowed to train like aiden was.

and will grew up playing hockey but also doing this sport that mack does, but tried to move into the mens category of it and was told they weren’t allowed so had to move to solely hockey. which is fine, because they love hockey and love the boys but they also resent mack a bit because they could’ve been just like her in another life.

so they meet in a class because they’re the only two spots in the room left, and they know of one another because they’re both follow the other sport, because it could’ve been them succeeding in the sport. but then mack chirps will about their face off percentage and how to fix it, and so they try it later and fuck she was right. and then it becomes a thing of mack teasing will about their hockey, giving tips and tricks once a week in this class about what they’re doing wrong. and will can’t do anything or say anything except try and note the concept down in their brain and then very pointedly not stare at mack’s cleavage, which becomes more and more revealed each week (it’s extremely intentional by mack)

anyway they end up fucking one day right before mack goes to a Really Big Thing for her sport and right before the beanpot for will and they both win and will gets a hatty and mack does Really Fucking Well . and then they get superstitious and they have to keep fucking! and if they end up falling in love… and mack ends up taming the campus-renowned slutty butch who gives terrible head but fingers girls to heaven and back… well.

i will leave the rest up for ur interpretation or for you to find out when i write it! (eventually. i am very scared i am going to get this fic wrong so i’m putting it off because then i can’t fail because it literally doesn’t exist!)

i also have A Lot of nsfw thoughts about them (thanks chomping🤭) so if this is a Safe Space i will happily share them if people are interested!!

Will’s eyes snap up to Mackenzie’s face. Her body is rotated around to look at them, and it conforms from somewhat confused to a wild smirk, and Will knows they’re fucking busted.

Will finishes off the branding as the two hour lecture comes to a close with a final label. Their heart is racing as they sling their backpack over one shoulder and stick the last note to Mack’s forehead.

She peels it off as they start walking away. Will gets to the end of the aisle, hands shaking in their pockets, turning around to gauge Mack’s reaction to the label.

“‘Will’s Mack’?” She stutters out, cheeks flushing red. Will definitely doesn’t notice how the visible part of her chest starts to gather pink undertones to it too. Mack looks up at Will, one eyebrow raised. “What’s this about?”

Will raises their shaking hand to salute her. “Bye, Mack.” They say, turning around to leave the room.
