adapted my friend’s drawing of sephiroth hitting cloud strife with her car into an animation

a piece about sephiroth’s presence as contamination and her intentions to weaponize the lifestream. the forgotten city incorporates seashells in its architecture, which meshes well with the lifestream’s oceanic associations. with the city acting as a hidden epicenter for the ancient world, and the lifestream itself being the fount of life and infinite (spiraling) renewal, sephiroth—in her role as a planetary virus—perverts that symbolism by tainting the well of life and poisoning the lifestream at its source. mass assimilation follows; cloud and the cloaked figures feel the pull of reunion.

went back to add transfem sephiroth and butch cloud tags to my art because i realize that being subtle or putting clarification in my bio / certain posts isn't enough. i need to spread the word. my aerith is transfem as well by the way but i sincerely doubt anyone's going to be out here misgendering her. my cloud still uses masc pronouns.

i didn't add it to some of my older posts not because it wasn't true as early as 2023 but because i get scared looking at my old art.
