The ‘movie critics’ thinks the movie is ‘boring, has poor writing and confusing.’
To be honest, Iron Lung is peak cinema when Hollywood is dying a slow painful death of reboots and sequels. I never seen a very good movie that have me to feel childlike wonder in the long time, this movie is my own pace. Smart, interesting and funny at the same time.
Also we get peak writing like this:

The funny thing about BloodyMary is because they shipped both Ryland and Simon together, in my opinion Ryland is an Aroace so he has no interest in relationships. For Simon meanwhile he’s a cis straight ally, so that means he has to take care of Ryland who is only interested in playing space toys and doing some science stuff than love in general.
(I’m a huge Iron Lung fan and Simon the Butcher yumeshipper who never watches Project Hail Mary so please don’t sue me.)
