Simon the Butcher (Iron Lung) updated lore headcanons

[[TW:// Spoilers for Iron Lung. (DUH!), violence/death cults, mention of childhood trauma, loss of parent, PTSD, mentions of war.]]

(I did watched some few Markiplier videos as research for his personality.)

-People in the Bloodymary community thinks Simon as a grumpy person but it’s not the case.

-I projected some silly Markiplier parts into Simon cuz he played by him obviously. (His ADHD, his engineering knowledge and his mindset)

-Mark said that Iron Lung is NOT a comedy but in actuality he put some funny jokes into that ‘serious’ horror movie to make us laugh somehow.

-So this poor convict dude has some sense of humor in him

-Also Simon is also have thalassophobia cuz it’s TOO DARK for him to see.

-Simon loves space (which is sad because the Quiet Rapture) and the Earth marine life

-Needs reading glasses sometimes

-Favorite RTE meal? TACOS of course.

-Education in Eden is gendered, Simon was forced to join as a child soldier and harvester of Eden once he hits 13 years of age while the females graduated.

-He has PTSD from his childhood trauma while he was in a death cult serving for the Last Tree before it ‘died’ (in reality, it just disappeared leaving a big hole in the Grove)

-He got his butterfly knife (his first weapon) from his mother on his 13th birthday and she wants to keep it safe, still have that butterfly knife ever since.

-His mother was his comfort person when his father raptured, it doesn’t last long until his mom was killed in action while fighting in Filament Station which Simon triggered his freeze panic state out of grief.

-His anger is also from grief and the fact that he is scared when he was assigned to the SM-13.

-He basically got some hobbies besides his part time engineering and harvesting duties like sewing, knitting, taking care of the garden and cooking. So he is the househusband in the making.

-The reason why Simon’s name is not on the C.O.I’s records because they are more focused on his CRIMES than the basics.

-He was born into the this world in Mars 8-9 years before the Quiet Rapture began.

-He does a Render Farm during his free time at work, he basically cool off the servers so he made this Render Farm so he can surf Pre-Rapture internet. (Good for him, I guess…)

-Both Simon and Ava barely survived the AT-5’s blood ocean but they managed to go separate medical bays for treatment. Simon got his arm back but it’s monster like with red claws and his skin from the arm blackened. For Ava meanwhile, she got her left hand and right leg ripped out from Elli the Blood Eel that she has robotic prosthetics due to the C.O.I don’t have any resources for regenerative limb growth.

-He has an arranged partner which is the Founder and Leader of the Lambhood named The Lamb S.C (Shyla), she is only childhood friend that he ever had. They were going to be married as adults before the Quiet Rapture happened so that’s bad news for the both of them.

-There is the five year age gap between both parties (Shyla is currently 26 years old while Simon’s 31)

-He called Shyla by the petname ‘My little lamb’ because she is pure to him, Simon would never ever let someone hurt her.

[This is my 2.0 version of my Iron Lung lore headcanons. You’ll be expecting more in the near future since I have more experience with the movie than I originally posted those lore headcanons, thank you for your patience.]
