Just breathe
Life is scary when you have no idea what other people are thinking, have difficulty readying people, and anxiety (any combination of, or all three of them).
Worrying endlessly that people hate you, are going to leave you, fire you, or anything else your mind can come up with will not help you. What will help, however, is doing the best you can every day. And then, if something should arise dealing with it appropriately & calmly.
Something I’ve been struggling with lately, and needed a little reminder of.
Okay so
there’s a lot of posts on here that say something like “if someone in your life is harmful to your mental and emotional health, you have permission to drop them in a second without explanation” but there’s also posts complaining about people losing friends randomly for no reason… does no one notice the similarities? Maybe someone sees you as not being a very influence in their life, or maybe someone views you as not a great person to have in their life right now due to circumstances not related to you at all. It’s a two way street and I wish Tumblr users would develop a little more perspective when thinking about relationships and things along this subject… I’m definitely not saying that if a friend stops talking to your hanging out with you for not reason that it’s your fault. Please read that again. NOT ALWAYS YOUR FAULT. Sometimes people suck and don’t realize how harmful they’re being. But there might be a reason for their behavior that you could use as constructive criticism to better yourself and your own mental/emotional health and your own behavior. Please stop seeing everything that happens to you as something that someone else does to hurt you on purpose or because they might hate you. If you take advice to clear out harmful people in your life, then everyone else is also allowed to take that advice as well.
