Writing Prompt
Rain has always been part of your life. Whether dancing in it, letting the droplets fall on your tongue, or just standing in it and smiling, it was always there. It was a constant in your life when other things weren't. At times, it seemed like it would always storm when you cried, and going out into the rain, lightning and thunder made you stronger. When you became old enough to understand, you realized that the random storms throughout your life when your emotions were turbulent weren't random at all. They were a comfort, a calling, from a deity of storm, a deity of strength and protectiveness. This became quite clear on your fifteenth birthday, when a Norse god of old came to your doorstep with a soft smile and hair as red as fire, but with a touch that reminded you of the thunder on your worst days, like a tough blanket of warmth.
