Winter is the time when I surround myself with a million maps and highlight all the rides I'm going to do in next season. Of course the ride never goes as plan, but that doesn't take the pleasure out of planning, it just makes it better. You never know what life will throw at you. All you can do is give yourself the tools to deal with those situations when they come. ✊
I'm probably biased after riding 6k miles last summer with no GPS, but I don't trust my phone to still have battery when I'm in the middle of nowhere and need to figure out where I am. If you don't know about Butler Maps, they're water resistant, tear resistant, maps with highlighted routes that are ideal for motorcyclists! Highly highly encourage you to pick a couple up before your next trip.

I've been geared up with the new Skyline Series and I got to do my first loaded test run on Monaday! (Let me tell ya, after using my cheapy bags with the holes in them for so long, this was like moving into a Condo)Can't wait to get them to Montana and mount them on Lazarus!
