Pasinaya 2017 It's really wonderful seeing different forms of art painting the whole day with fun and talent! My dad has been waiting for Pasinaya 2017 since last year when we got late and was only able to watch few acts. Papa was already in CCP since 7 am because he said that he was so excited that he couldn't sleep. Good for him, he was able to watch the start of the show until the end. I came in the afternoon. I was able watch the Ukelele Philippines do a mass ukelele playing of chillax songs. Summer vibes indeed and it was nice that the players ranged from kids to grandparents! Was also able to watch some friends playing there! And we also watched different groups dance - one was a really awesome hiphop show from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and then indigenous dance and then folk dance. When I entered the complex, I saw an exhibit of the works of artists from the art capital of the Philippines, Angono! Contemporary art that some of them really made me pause and stare at the piece for quite some time. One made a piece from stapler wires, and then others have really bad ass concepts, and some are really rich in terms of expressionism. Then, we were also able to watch the Phil Philharmonic Orchestra, Madrigals, Ramon Ubusan Folkdance Group, Bayanihan Ph national Folkdance Company, Mabining Mandirigma, Ballet Philippines, and Philippine Ballet company among others! It really gave me a goosebump when all of the Pasinaya artists were called on stage during the people's gala night as they all sang the anthem. Seeing so many colors and talents in one hymn united by arts really made my heart jump out of joy. Imagine if everyone can unite as we all create rather than destroy? That would be a very beautiful world. This is definitely a great start to celebrate February! Maligayang Buwan ng Sining everyone!
