Director getting the word out there at Buxton Fringe Sunday. A day of free cake, leaflets music and sunshine.
Ioana's Thoughts, an actors opinion
After watching a recent fringe production I try and ask myself, whenever I feel myself start to “people watch” or more accurately “people judge” , ‘Why are you judging them?… Do you know them? Do they deserve to be judged?’ and the not so pretty, bitchy side of me quickly disappears.
Being sat snug in Costa with my script, notebook and a “gingerbread latte with whipped cream” I looked around and tried to place myself in the vibe of the play. Without judging, I found I could witness the actions of the many coffee lovers that passed through in the hour I sat watching. Tens of people, with such complex, diverse lives sharing the same addition to their schedule- a cup of coffee; and its true- sharing a drink with strangers, friends, family- anyone! Really is a catalyst for so many things- working out problems, having a laugh or maybe just for a brain rest.
And that’s what makes ‘Caroline’ such a special show… It’s relatable to so many people and a cup of coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate can be all you need to clear your head.
