Seeing Dora up there never gets old 💞😭 (ty @aemarling) but I really wish it wasn’t necessary. I really wish I never had to create it at all but wishes don’t change anything - protesting does, boycotting does, voting does. It’s time to fight back not sit this one out on account of not being bothered by the suffering of those you deem less worthy than those who look like you. ⁣ ⁣ 2020 will be a turning point, turning into something we can’t come back from with a second term for prez chump, or a revolution with big ideas and plans to make it happen. @elizabethwarren has got my vote for the primaries, her or @berniesanders for the general. I believe in voting blue but 👏 BIDEN 👏 AINT 👏 IT, not all blue are equal. But Would I vote for Biden if he was the Nom? Begrudgingly yes, since anything else would be a vote for chump. That’s why it’s important we get someone to the general election who will actually work to change things and not just set the clock back to right before chump took office. Let's talk about consumer buying power in this shit capitalist system! We know that most of us are in some way reliant on this system and contribute to it in a variety of fashions BUT there's a lot you can do as a consumer if you have the means to do so! In our home (aside from DIY-ing our soap/cleaning products/eliminating most of our plastic and paper-which I totally recommend if you have the ability to do so) we've been using the @buycott app for a few weeks now and it's great! You're able to choose what causes YOU believe are important and scan your groceries (and various other types of items like makeup!) and decide for yourself if you want to give your money to this company/cause. Now, there are some things that for a variety of reasons (classism, racism, financial status, etc.) people find difficult to walk away from and that's okay! You do what you believe you can manage and go from there if you choose to do so! This is just one of many ways you can contribute (or in this case NOT CONTRIBUTE) to a variety of causes. From keeping your cabinets clear of products sourced from prison labor to boycotting a certain 🍊. The list is long and there's something that matters to everybody!
