Buzzfeed
Buzzfeed is an international company that focuses on daily news and information within the media. From a younger age, I have been subscribed to Buzzfeed’s YouTube channel, where an office of people work and produce on the videos created. Personally, I have always idolised Buzzfeed’s YouTube channel because of their educational videos about a wide range of different things. Many videos from Buzzfeed focus on the importance of gender; sexuality, and sizing. When starting unit 8, and processing many different ideas, Buzzfeed was a source of research that I knew would inspire me.
When planning my Unit 8 project, I have been looking into the idea of personalities, and personal issues people go through in every day life. From further research of ‘All walks beyond the catwalk’, I decided to look into how different body types should be appreciated within society, and I came across Buzzfeed’s videos of plus size women walking the runway. When watching these videos, we see how the producers push the unexperienced models out of their comfort zones, to show off their bodies and to show that plus size women can be successful within the modeling career.
Overall, I believe Buzzfeed is an excellent source of research/ inspiration, because of their creative, motivating videos that teach society that ‘different’ and ‘unusual’ can/ should be accepted. Moreover, these videos, and others, helps me develop different ideas.

I stayed up after getting home from Gilman about 1:20ish I think and watching random stuff on YouTube until maybe 2, to ending up watching buzz feed videos until 5:30 in the morning...... I have a problem Send help
