Drive employee engagement on Yammer
Displaying Yammer content live at corporate events or on digital displays in the workplace has proven to be one of the best means for driving employee adoption of Yammer as a communication tool. Now that Microsoft has discontinued support for the #Yammerfall service, BuzzTale offers an even better alternative. The BuzzTale Yammer app is a full screen, interactive, configurable content display service that is easy to use for real-time display of Yammer content. Available now in public beta before launch on the Yammer app directory.
Try the BuzzTale Yammer app NOW!
Why should you use BuzzTale?
BuzzTale allows you to customize and display your company’s Yammer content stream in a cool way, selecting a specific set of content based on groups, people and/or hashtags. Use it on the big screens during conferences, and on digital displays at the workplace to keep people informed about what’s going in the company and during the event. BuzzTale works great for Q&A sessions and encouraging participation in an interactive environment.

How is BuzzTale different from Yammerfall and other similar services?
The BuzzTale Yammer app provides the most attractive and engaging viewing experience and enables users to add content from more than one Yammer network into one view.
Check out the UCAS case study!
The BuzzTale Yammer app was first used at the UCAS annual conference and deemed a great success. In the video below, UCAS staff explain the value of having the real-time screen display of the Yammer conversation for their breakout sessions at the conference.

Click “Add Source”, select a Yammer network to pull content from and then start typing names of people, groups or hashtags to show possible selections
Pick the number of content tiles to display on the screen at one time
Adjust font size if necessary
Choose the chronological view or interactive view:
Chronological view will update only when new content is posted. Use it for streams with lots of activity

5 tricks for using BuzzTale to boost employee engagement at company events
So you want to get all your employees at an internal meeting participating, not just the usual “microphone hogs”? BuzzTale, a tool that boosts employee engagement and builds stronger corporate culture by turning employees into content creators and storytellers, also does just that.
Here are 5 tips to get everyone on board using BuzzTale:
1. Do your homework
On the BuzzTale website, create a group under the company name and upload the company’s logo. Next, open the BuzzTale app on your iPhone or Android phone, login and start the event story. I know, I know, the event is still a few days away, but that’s why we’re starting now. Write an appropriate title, assign the story to your company group and set visibility and contributors to “Group only”. This will make the story visible only to those people who you will invite to the group.
Finally, add some pre-event content to the story. Maybe a teaser for the event to get the participants intrigued and excited? We find that adding photos of preparations, colleagues, and information about the event is great. Be creative. Image: One of the Tele2 teasers before their Extended Leadership Team summit
2. Head honchos set the tone
Find a champion or two in your company who will actively use BuzzTale and inspire others to get on board. As always, a personal message from the boss makes a different, and this direct, informal internal communication will get participants on board.
3. Get the word out
Send out an internal message about BuzzTale to the people who are going to be participating in the event. Explain that your company is going to be using it and how to get started. Send the message 1-2 days before the event so people have time to register and join the story.
Soon after sending out the internal message invite your colleagues to the company group. Open www.buzztale.com, go to your profile, click “My Groups”, then select the company group and then click “Members”. Click the “Invite Members” button and simply add the email addresses of all the participants. They will receive an invitation email from BuzzTale. Once they register they will be able to join the story and start adding content right away. Image: Invitation to a group
4. The power of visual storytelling
Visual content such as photos and videos are key to driving engagement especially in the corporate world where employees spend most of their day dealing with email. You know how enticing that visual content is on Facebook and Instagram - apply the same thinking for internal corporate communications.

5. Keep control of the content
Moderation is useful when running stories with many participants. Despite the best intentions, sometimes an unwanted image or text may appear in the story. To moderate it, go to www.buzztale.com, login, and open the story. Click the “moderate” button and then tick the box that says “moderated story”. Hover your mouse over a block to show/hide it or simply moderate by showing/hiding all content from specific users. Note that if you make the story moderated, then everyone who joins the story will need to be approved before their content shows up in the story.
Following these tricks will help you engage everyone at the event and create a memorable story. If you’re preparing for a company event and would like to use BuzzTale or need help and advice in getting going, feel free to contact us at [email protected].

BuzzTale selected as Seedcamp Berlin winner
BuzzTale is proud to have been selected by Seedcamp as a winner of Seedcamp Berlin and a participant in the full program. We spent a week in Berlin preparing for the pitching event, pitching to the mentors and working intensively with the excellent range of Seedcamp mentors. As our CEO has already been a Seedcamp mentor himself for some years, we knew that the mentors would be of a high calibre and were not disappointed. We also knew the secret sauce for keeping mentors engaged during an exhausting day: a good supply of chocolate at our table!
Thanks to the Seedcamp team for a great week in Berlin, we look forward to seeing a lot more of you all over the coming year, and thanks to all the mentors for their kind support.
BuzzTale again proved the value of our solution at the event itself, capturing the real-time engagement on Twitter via our BuzzTale story: http://buzztale.com/seedcamp/7d01df and here is the link to the Seedcamp blog about the winners: www.seedcamp.com
BuzzTale declared winner at Startup Sauna demo day
The culmination of our five weeks at Startup Sauna was demo day at Slush. Here is the video of our CEO Andris Berzins pitching. We were delighted to be declared one of the top teams at Startup Sauna and to win the trip to Silicon Valley!
