Super emergency. My car broke down and I need $450 to get it fixed. My mechanic won’t do a payment plan, and I need my car so my boyfriend and I can get to and from work to provide for the child that is growing in me. I didn’t want to make another one of these posts, but we need to keep our jobs or everything we’ve been able to build back up… we’re going to lose. If you can donate even a dollar or a reblog, I will forever cherish you. I can also offer my musical abilities as compensation for your donation.
I was able to pay for my car, as a good friend decided to lend me the money. I still have no money for gas or food, though. Please reblog. I will do anything for help at this point.

It’s been awhile since Hans had left you in the care of Maz and you couldn’t feel better. Every day you woke up ready to take on today’s challenges whether it be just dumping sludge down a drain or whipping up a simple drink, you didn’t care.
“How are you feeling (Y/n)?” Maz asked from her place behind the bar, eyeing you curiously with a smile.
You turned her direction, beaming a big smile. “Oh Maz I feel better than yesterday. Thank you so much for this. I am eternally in debt to you.” You brought the broom in your hand closer to your chest.
Maz let out a laugh, “Oh hush child.” She waved her small hand.
“No I mean it Maz. I know I say it everyday,” you walked to the bar, leaning over a bit. She looked up at you. “This.... is amazing. I’m happy now. I feel at peace.” You said softly, feeling yourself almost cry. “and I...... I can’t thank you enough."
"You can thank me by getting started on the stalls in the back!" she says with a playful tone while she brings out a bucket.
"Oh anything, you name it!" You then grab the bucket and start heading to the back door, a little skip to your walk. She chuckles and shakes her head, "so much heart...."
She then ponders for a moment, her smile fading, "But I fear the worse for you"
-
"Anything?" He says as he strides through the doors, a hiss behind him as they close.
Hux briefly looked back, not wanting to make an effort to look at Ren. "No. But there is word she hid in a shuttle and that's how she left the ship."
"Where did it go?"
"Unfortunately, we don't know. The Resistance shot down all four shuttles when they attacked one of our bases. It happened before we could pin point their exact location but we did get something." Hux then nodded to one of the communications and they quickly pulled up a map, the lights lid up projecting it in the middle of the command room.
Ren walked around, examining it. "Are you sure? Its the back end of the galaxy, why would the resistance be all the way out here?"
"Not sure but its a start. Now if you excuse me I have to get back to running an army." He then turned back around to look out the thick windows.
Kylo stayed silent, sending daggers at Hux' head, after a moment he turned back around and walked out.

It was another glorious day-- well, glorious to you that is. It started out fine as usual, cleaning up the floors, clearing out the front to make it look decent again from the previous drunk bunches the night before. Everything was going so smoothly.
“(Y/n)!”
You hear Maz’ faint voice call you from inside.
“Coming!” You yell back finishing sweeping dirt off the stone stairs.
You walked back in wiping your hands down with your apron. “Yes Maz?” You then looked up but she was no where in sight. “Maz?”
No answer.
“Maz? Hello?”
There was an eeriness in the air that sent chills down your spine which made you aware of how much you were sweating. “Please answer. Maz? Rack? Anyone?” Your voice croaked just a little, hands shaking a little.
“(Y/n).” said a familiar deep muffled voice.
You stop, feeling the beads of sweat roll down your temple as you recognized it.
“Ren.” You said back. too scared to face him but hesitantly you did. There he was in all is his black robe glory, looming just feet away from you, his stance was defensive and he seemed relaxed.
“How?”
He stayed quiet for a moment then with a slight shrug of his shoulders says; “I guessed.”
“Is anyone with you?”
“No,” he says again with a low voice. “I came alone.”
“Why? Why can’t you leave me alone? Just leave. We were a mistake.” you said with light rears going down your face. “I’m happy here.”
He scoffs. “Here? Surrounded by drunk bastards that probably wont look your way twice? You don’t belong here.”
“Who are you to say where I do and don’t belong.” you raised your voice taking a step towards him. “You don’t own me Kylo. No one does.”
“You’re right. I don’t.....” he starts walking around you slowly. “But I do know what’s best. You’re not safe here.”
“Ha! From you I am.” You turn you head but he stops. “I’m not talking about me, (Y/n).”
Your brows falter and crease. “What do you mean? Is there someone after me?”
“I don’t know exactly but I know they’re on to you. You’re not protected anymore.”
“The only danger here is you Kylo. I’m done with this.” You walked away and when you did light returned and Kylo was no where to be found.
“Child are you okay?” Maz asked walking from the back.
You looked up and realized you were on the floor heaving and pale, covered in sweat. “I-I-I don’t know Maz. He was here. H-He was right here!” You held your hand out to the empty space Kylo was just moments before.
“He’s here Maz!”
She saw the desperation in your eyes and sighed. “No one has been here dear.” She came up to you and placed her hands on your cheeks. “You’re cold and clammy.” She stated feeling for a fever.
“What happen?” She said sternly making you look at her.
You took a moment, “He said I was in danger and that something was after me.”
“Who’s after you?” Her eyes bore into yours.
Lips trembling you replied. barely above a whisper;”I don’t know.”
She dropped her hands. “So it is true....” she says standing up and facing away.
“W-what? What’s true?” You said scrambling to your feet.
She held a hand up. “It’s best you don’t know. Who told you this?”
You swallowed. “Kylo Ren.”
She sighed. “You’re not safe here anymore. I knew this day would come.”
“Please, let me stay. I have no where else to go.” You pleaded to her.
“No. It’s not safe here anymore. You have to go. Soon. I will make arrangements for you. Somewhere other than here.” She starts to walk away.
“So then what?” You yell to her.
She stops and turns halfway.
“Build a life there until I’m in danger again and keep running? Is that what my life is going to be like?”
She closes her eyes, a sign of grimace across her face. “I’m sorry (Y/n), this is for your protection. You can’t let it find you.”
You sniffled. “Please Maz. I don’t know where else to go.”
“I’m not going to send you to some unknown destination (Y/n). I’ll make sure you’re taken care of. In the mean time, just.......” She sighs again; “just stay here- for now. Until I can come up with something.”
You looked down at your feet and nodded. “Okay.”

A few days have past since Maz told you about your sudden departure, you were sweeping up a mess some idiot made but you couldn’t focus since Maz told you this morning the people taking you will be here in the afternoon and so you ended up bumping into a costumer who wasn’t really so nice.
:He snarled at you and made a move to push you but you dodged it and with all the anger and sadness returning after seeing Kylo again you pushed him.
Everyone stopped including the music and looked at you and the thing on the floor covered in his own beverage. They laughed at him and even the people in his group.
This made him more angry and stood up abruptly. “Why you!” He said in a unnatural deep voice and took a swing at you.
With ease since he’s very large and slow you were ale to dodge it again. Maybe all those times watching Kylo train paid off.
“Not in the mood buddy. Go back to your friends, next one is on me.” You suggest taking a step back from.
“You need to learn some manners little one.” His nostrils flared up and he came at you, too fast for you to dodge and you went flying to the wall where you slammed against it and fell to the floor on your stomach.
There was more loud commotion and voices yelling but you couldn’t even lift up your head to see, with very blurred vision you saw a figure walk towards you and lean down to check you.
“She needs to see a medic.” they said. Softly you felt their hand caress your stinging cheek. “We’ll take her now.”
Then everything went black.
-
You stood at the doorway, watching how she rode him and he reacted so lustfully, he hasn’t looked at you like that since she first started working for him.
The heartache hurt just as much as when your heart fluttered for him that first time you gave him your body.
You swallowed what pride you had and turned to darkness, at first you walked mindlessly then you saw him, highlighted by a red light.
“I know you’re there.” You said not bothering to turn around.
He didn’t respond so you turned.
“What’s after me?” You demanded. “I figured it out. you weren’t really there. You just got inside my head by using the force. You promised you wouldn’t do that.” Your voice softened a bit at the end.
You can practically hear his smile, “What gave it away?” he asked taking a couple steps towards you.
“How about that annoying headache you left afterwards?”
“Ah, you figured me out (Y/n). You’ve always been smart. I can see why Hux always wanted you by his side.”
“Don’t mock me.” Your voice cracked.
He came around, you could feel him behind you. “I wasn’t” Then you hear the hiss of his helmet and a heavy thud to the floor. “I miss you. Come back to me.” He proceeds to say pressing his chest against your back then feeling of his hands grab yours and intertwine fingers. “Please.”
That deep voice of his always made your knees buckle and your heart skip a beat, even for how much anger and resentment you have towards him he was your first love.
“Kylo....” you said lowly.
His hands moved up to grab your arms softly and you sighed, “Why did you do it?” you asked that one question that has been looming in your head since the day you left.
He didn’t answer.
“Please I need to know. You can at least give me an answer.”
Still quiet.
“Kylo?” You tried to turn but his grip on you tightened. “Ow! That hurts!” You pry at his hands but they just gripped tighter. “Hey!” You shout at him and look down in horror as his hands start to grow and morph, long claws tearing through the gloves, so long they wrapped completely around your arms.
“Kylo?” You said more desperately. No response except a snarled growl behind you. When you turned your head you couldn’t see anything as it was too dark.
“(Y/n)!” two voices said.
You looked forward to see, far away, a small light and two small figures running towards you and as they got closer they turned into one; a hand reached out but the beast holding on to you yanked you before they could reach and you screamed into the black that was now your reality.
-
You jolt awake, immediately trying to sit up but regret as the setting of a excruciating headache closed in. “Oh. Ow, ow.” You winced laying back down.
“Hey. Hey. Take it easy, you’re safe.” A smooth voice said.
You looked over at the person it belonged to. “Huh?”
He chuckles a little. “It’s okay. You’re at one of the safest places in the Galaxy.”
“And that place would be?” You asked.
“The main Resistance Base.”
“Oh. Um, was this the place Maz was talking about?”
“Well I only talked to her once and that was when I met her to pick you up, uh, I mean escort you here.” He sheepishly says rubbing the back of his head.
“Um, not to be mean or anything but who are you?”
“Oh! How stupid of me. I’m Dameron, Poe Dameron. I helped get you here safely while you were unconscious.”
You nod slowly. “Oh.... okay. So you were flying the craft I was in?”
“Uh--no. Ha ha.” He laughs nervously. “I was flying along side, making sure no one tried to pick a fight.”
You sat up slowly, feeling all the bruises and aches set in. “So,” you winced; “You’re a pilot? Like the X-wings?”
He nods. “Yeah. I can show you around the base when you’re feeling better.”
“That’d be really neat actually, after everything that’s happened.” You shrug.
You looked at each other for a moment, finally noticing his dark curls and the tinge of light in his eyes, so different from Kylo.
“Dameron!” A voice sounded from across the room.
Both heads turn to see a scolding nurse with supplies in her arms. “time for to leave the poor girl alone. She’s had quit a journey here and I don’t need you slowing down her progress.” She starts to shoosh him away.
He gets up from his spot and walks around the bed. “Right. See you later (Y/n)!” He gives a small wave.
“Bye Poe!” You wave with your good hand.
You then turn to the nurse as she dumps the supplies on your bed. “Alright, let’s re-bandage those wounds.”

“Agh!” You screamed from down the hall, with your head in our hands. You paced back and forth, eyes glowing a dark menacing red, almost like blood.
“Who does he think he is?!” You seethed out loud through your teeth to no one. “I am not his puppet! He can’t control me!”
Your breathing was hard and it took you every ounce of strength to not collapse the building you’re in with a single flick of your wrist. He knows you can’t be or act like him.... it’s just not in your code, you’re much different than him.
“He always has to butt in! How am I supposed to be confident with my actions when he still doesn’t trust me?” You still asked to no one but rather more yourself. “It’s not fair.....”
“What’s not fair?” His deep familiar voice said from behind you.
Not bothering to turn around you answer: “You.... who you are. It’s not fair”
His features soften a bit. “Jane.” He starts but you quickly shoot back a glare at him.
He holds a hand up, “Right. (Y/n). Sorry.”
You then roll your eyes and start walking away. “I quit.”
“Just like that? You’re just going to quit?” He catches up to you. “What happen to proving them wrong huh? Your father believed in you.”
“Don’t!” You turn around quickly and point a finger at him with gritted teeth. “You shut your mouth. You of all people shouldn’t be saying that about father figures.”
When you turned back around he caught your arm and pulled you close. “I’m sorry.... I shouldn’t have said that. Stay.... please.” He said softly and you look up to see his gentle smile.
You sighed heavily and dropped your head back with your eyes closed. “I can’t be like you...” you said lowly, not sure to him or you but he heard your voice clearly.
“I’m not asking you to. I want you to be yourself.” He says sincerely, looking at your features for any sign of something.
With a small hint of a smirk you asked; “Are you sure about that?” Reminding him of the last time he said that you got a little too out of control and practically tried to rip his head off.
He smiled at the memory because oddly enough, that’s when he really started to fall in love with you. The fire you had, the drive and the strength; it matched him perfectly where he actually had to put up a fight.
Fast and strong will driven, all that attracted him to you even more. There was a spark in your eyes when you fought and he wanted to see more of it.
You didn’t start out as a good guy either but more of a ametuar villian just coming out and when he first met you, there was something about you that he couldn’t exactly figure out but he liked it.
He would try to avoid physical fights but more try to persuade you into changing sides. Of course you would get frustrated with him as it felt like he wasn’t taking you serious so you would try harder with every encounter you had with him.
At first they started out as minor things like stealing a bike or something electronic from a cheap store but as time pass you got bolder with your powers and that’s when the serious crimes started.
Robbing banks and destroying buildings. At that point he had no choice but to take you serious because you were deliberately trying to hurt people and you were now being seen as the villain you wanted to be.
People feared you and gangs were too scared to cross you so you had control of the streets. But then something happen, your father got sick and ended up in the hospital. He was sick before but it got worse to the point of being in the ICU and he didn’t know about your double life of a War Lord of the streets.
Every night when you got home and would check on him in his room he always warned you to be careful out there as there was someone causing chaos in the streets. Innocently, you would reassure him hiding this secret for the soul fact that robbing these banks and controlling contraband was to pay for his bills and he would get the best doctors.
Even with all the money you had and the medical help you can provide there was no saving him. You didn’t want to accept the fact that there was no way to save him.
Days past since his funeral and you were still in denial, you destroyed everything you created and built, and went on a rampage of rage. You cursed at the sky and buildings shook while people screamed and ran for they’re lives.
Your hands glowed a angry red and you shot out randomly not caring what they hit, tears streaked down your dirty cheeks and cars were being blown up.
Superman floated above, watching you, he felt your pain and he knew what was wrong. Silently he descended down and gently put a hand on your shoulder, you reacted but not in the way he thought you would. Instead of turning around and lashing at him you just lowered your hands, the red dimming and slumped to the floor. Your sobs grew softer and dust started to clear up.
“I’m sorry....” He simply said, and stood next to you.
You stayed silent, numbingly staring at a piece of rubble from a fallen building that you blew up.
“I could have done more” you said ever so above a whisper.
Those words sunk into him, he felt the same about his own father.
“We’re not invincible,” he replies.
“Are you kidding?” You turn your head to look up back at him and then you got up. “You’re Superman. You’re seen as some God. Nothing can kill you.”
He looked away, not sure what to say.
“That’s what I thought.” You almost spit out of jealous. When you walked away he called to you, you hesitated but stopped.
“What?” You yell back.
“What happen to you isn’t fair and I know why you did what you did. I’m sorry that had to happen to you but please-- you’re not alone.”
“What do you mean?” You then turn around.
“This power that you have, it's incredible and you can be good. Show these people that anyone could have a bad day and still be the best. Show them that its possible to keep climbing to the top-- even when the hill turns into a mountain.”
“You want me to be a hero like you?”
“Be your own hero.”
“My hero died.” You said coldly and turned around.
He didn’t respond after that but let you go, you needed to grieve but he waited.
Two Years later here you were in the hallway with him, bickering like an old couple.
“Please don’t give up.”
Another moment passed and you sighed, “Okay!....okay. I won’t but please lay off. I’m trying my best.” He smiled and nodded; “Deal.”
He gave a warm smile, that same smile that always calms you down. The man in front of you as been by your side non stop since that day, the day you thought you were done. But he gave you hope, save for the ‘S’ symbol on his chest.
You needed a friend and someone for support and he was there in a heart beat. That’s what you loved about him the most, and you also loved him too but you will never tell him that. How can you? You got blood on your hands and he’s..... too pure. All he’s tried to do is good in his life, you can never match up to him.
“Let’s head back.” He says comfortingly and you nod, following him.
-
“He dresses like a bat?” You practically laugh out as you watch the news.
Clark walked up around you and sipped his coffee as he watched the tv. “He’s doing no good in this city with his vigilante actions. It’s just adding fuel to the fire.”
You turn your head with raised brows, “And what are you doing exactly on your spare time huh mister super man?” You said teasingly, and nudged him with your elbow.
He shakes his head with a small smirk on his lips, “I don’t kill anyone unlike some people.” He takes another sip of his coffee.
“Hey!” You push him hard but of course he barely moves. “Take it back!”
“I will when you do!” He chuckles taking a few steps away from you.
“Na-uh Kent! You take it back! That was low and you know it.” You start to follow him.
“Was it?” He gives that cheeky smile that showed his teeth, furthering himself from you, knowing exactly where this was going.
“Oh, honey. It was was low enough to be buried six feet under.” You purse your lips, swaying your hips side to side as you made your way slowly to him. a mischievous grin plastered on your face.
“Yeah?” he winks at you. Rounding in front of the couch, he sets his cup of coffee down, not wanting to risk spilling it although that should be the least of his problems right now as you were ready to pounce on him.
“Yeah.” You reply, nearing him now; your tongue sticking out just a little since you were now concentrating on his next move. He watched, just for a millisecond how your lips looked so good he almost wanted to just let you tackle him just so he can sneak a kiss.
But he missed you just by inches, after all, you were able to catch up with him.
You two ran around like a bunch of kids playing tag, running a couple of circles around some furniture. Until finally you had enough and jumped over the couch, knocking him down with you.
“Got you!” You laugh pinning his arms above his head while you straddled his hips. He chuckles, “Not exactly.” and in one swift motion you were now the one under him with your arms above your head.
“Nice try sweet heart but I’m Superman.” He winks down at you.
“More like pooperman!” You say with a smile.
He squints his eyes but can’t help the smile that crept to his lips.
“Well? You win, so now what?” You ask leaning your head a little to the side.
He looked into your eyes silently, taking in every detail of them; the patterns in your irises, every line, every tiny color the light above enticed. The way your pupils expanded as he grew closer. The faint pulse rising from your neck, the small specks of freckles scattered across your cheeks from sunlight. The tiny scar above your brow all the way down to your waiting lips.
“Clark?” you said ever so above a whisper which pulled him back from his thoughts.
Mindlessly ke lowered himself and pressed his lips to yours, a tiny squeal of surprise rose in your throat but you relaxed into it and closed your eyes.
Warm and so soft, exactly how he thought your lips would feel. His hands went from your arms to cup your cheeks, deepening the kiss and you brought your hands to his sides, pulling him closer to you.
He buried his fingers in you hair, his tongue skimming your bottom lip, begging for entrance, happily you let him in. Wanting more of him you wrapped your legs around his waist, he pushed his pelvis into you, the friction not enough.
You were the first to pull away, “Wait. We can’t do this.” Your breathed in, opening your eyes.
He looked into them, those ocean blues making you weak. “Is something wrong?” he says softly but with concern.
“No just--.” you sighed, dropping your head to the floor, Clark quickly putting his hand beneath but you ignored it. “we can’t do this. We’re partners, not lovers. You’re Superman!” you say louder turning your head to the side.
He furrowed his brows down at you, “What does that supposed to mean?” He lifted himself, resting on his knees.
You propped yourself on your elbows, “I mean, there’s no way this” you point between the both of you, “will never work.”
“What?” He gets up placing his hands on his hips.
“Oh c’mon on Clark! Don’t act surprised.” You scoff getting up on your feet.
“Why do you think that?”
“Uh--hello?” You wave your hands around, “Ex-bad guy remember?”
He shook his head, “I thought you put that behind?” He raises his voice.
“I did! But you know what?” You scoff again walking to the kitchen. You placed your hands on the edge of the countertop, hanging your head low.
Silence fell into the atmosphere, it settled like a thick blanket, uneasy and tight.
“Apparently some people can’t seem to do the same.” You scoff once again and looked back at him.
He kept his eyes trained on the floor.
“I knew it. I fucking knew it. You haven’t changed one bit. I’m such an idiot.” you laugh to yourself, feeling the tears prick out.
“Just say it Kent.” Your voice clip. “I’m still the bad guy right? Keeping me close under your radar just so I won’t cause chaos? Real good plan. Gotta say, you fooled me.” You almost chuckled, giving your head a pat on the head with one of your hands.
“I almost fell for it. Thinking I can turn my life around, be the good guy, not perfect but good. You know? Boy was I a fool!” You then gripped the counter and tore a corner off and dropped it on the wood floor.
“(Y/n)--” He barely took a step towards you but you turn swinging your hand around, a red light illuminating the room and sending Clark, furniture and anything possible back.
“Don’t!” You yelled.
He landed on the other side of the living room, but before he could get up you were out the front door with your things in hand.
Since magic was a weakness for him and your forte it was easy to block him out, for days, months.
You didn’t see him and he couldn’t see you, hear you or even sense your heartbeat. You were good at that. All the other times you two fought you would do this but not for this long.
He was worried, he felt like an idiot for not speaking up. Telling you the truth. He just stood there like a moron watching you hurt instead of bringing you in his arms. And things with the city of Metropolis isn’t going too well either. Of course people noticed your place of absence when ever Superman was seen.
No one trusted him, some people say he’s a hero while others say he’s a false god. The council surely didn’t want him around, he was stuck on what to do.
Is this how you felt when you were trying to do good? He could only imagine what went on in your head during those times; the embarrassment, humiliation, guilt, shame.
He didn’t think about that or even ask how you felt.
He closed his eyes and sighed, shaking his head. “Fucking idiot...” he said to himself.
“You okay?” He heard the mask bat say from behind.
“Yeah...” he answered half assed.
“We can’t stop it. We need a plan,” Diana landed just a few feet from them.
Lex let loose a monster, he called it Doomsday, made from the mutation of his blood and General Zodd’s corpse.
“It’s a long shot but, I know someone that can help. Someone powerful.” He spoke up. Batman turn to him, “The girl? Is that a good idea.”
“It’s the best idea I got.” Superman shrugged his shoulders a little.
“Go get her. We’ll keep it busy till then. Hurry.” Diana said sternly jumping back into the battlefield, Batman close behind.
--
You put two scoops of sugar into your the light brown liquid and gave it a few rounds of stirring then you clinked the spoon against the cup edge and took a sip of the warm coffee.
After a satisfied sigh you put the cup down and breathed in deeply.
“Hey Clark.” you said turning around to see the cape crusade in that all too familiar blue, skin tight outfit of his. He stood patiently on your balcony, eyes on nothing but you. They looked.... pained.
“(Y/n),” he said softly.
The sound of his voice made you almost cry, you’ve missed him so much.
“I know why you’re here.” You point to the tv showing the fight between the monster Doomsday and Batman with a mysterious woman.
“Will you help?”
“Of course. But I have to know...” you walked over to your open balcony.
He watched as you neared him, hesitant to take your hand but entwined your fingers in his while your other hand rested on his shoulder.
“Did you ever have faith in me? Did you think I could really do good?”
He nodded in silence. “I never doubted you.”
You nodded this time, tracing the ‘S’ symbol on his chest.
“I love you.” He said and you looked up at him.
Again, he took the opportunity to look into your eyes, those same patterns were still there, you even got a little more light freckles and he smiled to himself.
You kissed him, softly, the same passion from both ends like the first time.
“I love you too.” you say back.
He laughs shakily, “I promise, with all my heart. I will be better.”
“Don’t get sappy on me dork,” you lightly hit his chest.
“You’re have to get used to it.” He replied kissing you on the cheek.
You both laughed and then it fell silent.
“It’s not easy huh?” You spoke. “Being seen as the bad guy all the time?”
He shook his head.
“Well,” you shrug. “Let’s bag ourselves a monster.”
--
Tears stained your dirt covered cheeks, this thing was stronger than you thought. The only way to kill it was with the kryptonite spear Batman had made, you managed to distract the thing long enough for Clark to pierce its chest with it.
A smile formed on your cheek but it quickly faltered when you saw the stump on it’s arm grow out a long thick horn. It was going to stab him through the chest.
“No!” You yell jumping in front of it and took the blow.
“(Y/n)!” You heard Clark cry out before he took the advantage of digging the spear deeper Doomsday’s chest. A bright green light shined from it’s mouth and eyes sockets before it collapsed onto the ground throwing both you and Clark opposite directions.
Clark ran to you as fast as he could only to see you were already gone, blood coming out the corner of your mouth. He pulled you into his arms, tears falling on your cheek.
“No.....no...” he said lowly, wiping the hair away from your face. “(Y/n) please, wake up...”
He cupped your cheek, shaking your face lightly.
A hand gripped his shoulder softly, he turned halfway to see Diana and Batman standing silently behind. “I got her.” She said.
Hesitantly he nodded and Diana came around to pick your body up and carried it away from him.
--
The funeral was small and quick, not many people showed as you didn’t know much. Diana and Bruce showed for support of course.
He stood where you were buried, breathing in the cool morning air. “I miss you (Y/n). I wish we had more time but you had to be the hero, you always were one, people just didn’t see it.
Your death is not in vain, I promise you. I love you and people will know who saved them. Your hero may have died but you died as one.”

He smiles at you and answers, “Sure. What do you want to do?”
You thought for a moment, where can we go?
“Um, anywhere? I guess. It doesn’t matter to me I just don’t want to be home.”
He nods in understanding and turns to grab his bicycle. “Well hop on.” He then straddles his seat. You look at him, dumbfounded. “Wait, what?” You were caught off guard of by that.
He gestures to the handles of his bike with a nod. “Get on. I promise you won’t fall.”
You stood there with a raised brow while eyeing the bike in uncertainy, not sure if he was serious.
“Are you for real? Is that legal?” You ask.
He shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t know but I’m willing to find out.”
Unsure but excited you take a look around at the people before walking over to Clark’s bike and climbing onto the handles. He holds out his hand and you take it for support.
“There you go.” He says; “Put your feet on the pegs.”
You do as he says then he grabs hold of your waist and leans you back against his chest. You were flushed against him, feeling his warm breath down your neck.
“I got you.” He speaks lowly. His mouth just mere centimeters from your ear. By now your cheeks were definitely a different shade and you were hoping he can’t see from where he’s at.
“Alright here we go. Hold on.” He stands on the pedals as he pushes, making sure you were leaning back on him. Feeling his warmth made your heart flutter, this was fun. You were smiling and so was he as you passed people and the wind started to pick up.
“Whoa! Clark! Hey!” You shouted, whole body tensed and trying to stay balanced.
“I got you Y/n,” he says cooly with a smile, leaning forward more so you can use his shoulder to lean back on
You couldn’t believe what you were doing; here you were on the handle bars of Clark’s bike while he sped through downtown Metropolis during rush hour and both of you didn’t seem to care. Though people of all kinds, from having baby strollers to other cyclists, jump out of the way before you two could plummet into them.
“We’re gonna crash into something,” you yelled but it started to turn into a giggle as you were enjoying yourself not feeling any danger at all, it’s like Clark himself was your safe point.
“I promise you we won’t,” he laughs back, enjoying seeing you smile and laugh. Just as he said that he didn’t notice that the street you two were headed towards had turned green and cars began to move through.
His eyes and yours went wide when you both were about to cross over the edge of the sidewalk until Clark braked hard sending you flying towards oncoming traffic.
You panicked and closed your eyes, throwing your hands forward to break what ever will hit you but nothing did. Slowly your eyes open and you were still safely on the sidewalk, then you felt a warm arm wrapped around your middle. Your head turns to see Clark holding you against him and his bike thrown back a few feet from you two.
“I got you,” he whispers still holding you to him.
“How did you do that?” You ask, trying to figure out how he had time to jump off the bike, throw it to the side and manage to catch you even though you were sent flying.
“Adrenaline, I guess.” He shrugs his shoulders, shaking off how fast he was to save you. “Are you okay?” He asks
You nod, still feeling shaken about the situation. “I’m good.” Your voice squeaked a little at the end. His eyes scan your face, making sure you were actually okay then he gave a guilty look. “Okay. I’m sorry about that. I wasn’t paying attention. It won’t happen again, ever.”
Tucking your bangs behind your ear, you shake your head. “Don’t sweat. We’re both okay, that’s all that matters.” You smile at him so he knew that you meant it and once he did, both of you continued on foot to a unknown destination.
You two were taking a stroll through the quiet side of the city, away from busy streets and crowded sidewalks. It was peaceful, the sun just started to set, leaving a warm glow of yellow and pink. The air was cool and the crickets began to chirp.
“So how’s life been? I haven’t seen you for awhile.” You point out to Clark. A small grin appears on his lips as he looks down at you;
“It’s been good. Just busy with work. You?”
You shrug. “Same as always only now I have to start applying for jobs in the city and get started on my life.”
He agrees with a nod of his head. “Are you excited for graduation?”
“Yes!” You answer immediately with a enthusiastic tone. Your child like behavior of excitement made him giggle.
“Are you going?” You ask turning and walking backwards behind him.
“Of course,” he says. “Why would I miss something so important to you.”
His answer made you smile. “Thanks Clark. And Lois is going of course?”
“Uh,” he begins. You pause in your tracks at his answer.
“’Uh’ what?”
His mouth tightened into a thin line then curved, followed by his eyes making a ‘not so sure’ look. “She might be out of town around that time.”
You took in a deep breath, not liking that. “You’ve got to be kidding me?” you said in a exasperated tone, slouching your body. “She promised me!”
“Hey but I’ll be there. That’s something.” He shrugs, not sure what to say.
He was right. He’s your best friend and your go to person when you need to talk to someone and never has he rejected you so this was something.
“You’re right. As long as you’re there I’ll be okay.”
At your words he gives a warming smile, then out of nowhere a loud grumble emerged from your body. Clark raises his brows then laughs, “Okay so now that we got that out of the way let’s get you something to eat.”
Red cheeks, you agreed with a quick nod as you walked side by side with him with your hands over your stomach.
Luckily for the two if you, there was a pizzeria near by just around the corner, it was small but had a home feeling to it. It stood out like a sore thumb; the lights buzzed and flickered and only a few people were working including the manager; he was a nice man, he complimented how good you two looked together as a couple. ‘I can see the romance burning between you two!’ He said in his native tongue, his son had to apologize with an embarrassed look when you clarified to them that you and Clark were just friends.
After they left to the back to take care of your order you and Clark took a seat at the only table there with two chairs that sat at the corner. It was small but then again this was a ‘go to and leave’ kind of shop; you get your food and walk off.
Poor Clark, he was a big guy so it was amusing seeing him keep shifting to get a comfortable position.
“Do you want to trade spots? I can fit in that corner.”
“No. No. No” he kept saying. “I’m okay.”
After another two minutes of seeing him keep changing positions you sighed with a shake of your head. “That’s it, we’re trading. Get up Kent.”
He slouches his body onto the seat, feeling defeated and got up so you can sit down. “Better?” You ask seeing him not move so much in his seat.
With red cheeks he nods, “Yeah. Thanks Y/n.” He says sheepishly.
“What would you do without me Clark?” You said leaning back into your seat and crossing your arms, smiling at him.
“Honestly, I don’t know.” He answers leaning forward and placing his elbows on the table.
“Me neither...” you say quietly to yourself, wondering if you’ll be able to ever get over him.
Silence settled between you two, both thinking of the same thing without the other one knowing it. Until the son approached your table with a large pizza cluttered with olives, mushrooms, spinach and pepperonis. He then settled two plates and said he’ll be back with your drinks.
The smell hit your nostrils and you hummed, eager to dig into the Italian delicousy. “Whoa there tiger,” Clark cooed, seeing your hunger rising as he set your plate and his.
You didn’t listen and grabbed a slice from the tray, strings of melting cheese trailed over the table, light coat of grease over the pie. It looked beautiful to you.
The first bite was hot and full of flavor, you didn’t care that it was burning your mouth, you were just really hungry. Clark also was stuffing his face and taking in the deliciousness.
After a few slices you two sat back with fully bellies.
“That was needed.” You huffed out. Clark hummed in agreement then he suddenly burped loudly, you two were quiet then you smiled at him but then you burped loudly too.
Quickly you covered your mouth and looked at Clark in embarrassment, a smile slowly crept on his lips and he started laughing, you shortly joined in. Tears streaming from your eyes and stomach starting to feel sore from so much laughing.
After a few more moments of laughter it quieted down and left you two to silently stare at each other.
Clark watched you with admiration in his eyes, you were the perfect girl to him and though there was flaws, that is what made you perfect.
He opened his mouth to say something, “Y/n?”
Your eyes looked to him and he couldn’t help that gaze you would give him every time he called for you. “Yeah?” You asked with a tinge of a smile on your lips and a little of curiosity in your voice.
He took in a deep breath, careful of his next words. “I have to tell you something..” his voice trailed off. Your heart sped up a bit, what did he want? Is it about the other night?
“Listen Clark if you’re still on about what happen at the park--it’s okay. I understand. You don’t need to keep feeling guilty about it.” You reached for his hand and rubbed his knuckles gently with a soft smile.
He returned one back but he shook his head, “No there’s more to that. I don’t know how to tell you this--”
“--Then don’t. Wait until you’re absolutely ready but for now can we just enjoy this night?” You look to your side at the quiet night. He stared at you and nodded, “Of course Y/n. I’m sorry.”
“You can apologize by walking with me.” You stood and held your hand to him.
He took it and stood walking with you to his bike, he grabbed it and you wrapped an arm around his to lean against him as you two walked together.
“It’s nice right now.” You said leaning your head on his arm.
He nods in agreement looking up at the white sparkles in the black sky, “It sure is.”
A tear drop of water landed on his cheek making him wipe it off. “Looks like it’s going to rain.” He pointed out right before more drops of water started to come down.
“Damn, my camera.” You sigh as you rushed for cover under an awning.
The calm rainstorm cornered you two, unable to get anywhere without risking getting soaked.
You opened your camera bag to make sure none of your equipment was damaged.
“Is everything okay?” Clark asked over the storm. You give him a thumbs up as you continued to fiddle through the lenses and cables. “So far looks like everything is okay.” You answer.
“That’s good. I’m glad. Sorry about the storm.” He gestures his his chin.
“You kidding?” You scoffed at him as you zipped up your bag and put it down where it was safe. He looked at you.
“Rain storms are the best!” You shout and darted out to the empty streets. Spinning around the puddles with your arms above your head.
Clark smiles softly.
“C’mon Clark! Not afraid of a little water are you?” The teasing in your tone caused him to raise a brow at you.
“It that a dare, (Y/n)?” Your name resonates from his cool deep voice.
You lick your bottom lip and giggle a bit, knowing full well what you just started.
With narrowed, predator like eyes not leaving you he pushes himself off the wall and lifts the strap of his bag from across his chest and settles it down next to your camera bag. He then proceeds to start walking from the warmth of under the awning and towards you.
Your feet start to slowly back yourself away, ready to run the other way from him. His long legs carried him with only a few lengthy strides and he as only a few feet from you.
You zipped off, both of you running around trash cans and trees on the sidewalk, you used every possible obstacle you can to slow him down but somehow he was more cunning and quick.
You smiled and laughed, able to just slip his grasp, feeling his finger tips just grazing your arms and slightest tugs of your shirt.
When you looked back you didn’t see him until you ran right into him, there he wrapped his arms firmly around you and he spun you around.
You yelped at the surprise, placing your hands on his shoulders.
Slowly he stopped and you two settled against each other, both breathing hard from running around and then you started to shiver.
“You’re cold,” he said with concern, feeling his arms tighten a bit to bring you closer.
“I-I’m fine.” You smiled up at him.
The street light from above highlighted the droplets on your plump lips. His eyes cast down at them and you noticed, one of his hands found they’re way to the back of your head and held you in place as he slowly closed his eyes and brought his face closer to yours and paused.
“Clark....” you said in a sweet whisper, urging him to go further with his actions, your hands gripping the collar of his shirt.
He grinned in response, pleased with your reaction and grazed your lips with his. Just that teeniest, tiniest touch set your skin ablaze, your heart was in your throat and you couldn’t breath but none of that mattered, what matters is this moment.
One of your hands cupped his cheek, as he continued the tease, he wanted to remember this as you.
His lips were soft just like you imagined, his taste was sweet and even in the cold rain you felt the heat from his body and his mouth was an even higher temperature.
His tongue grazed your bottom lip, begging for entry and you obliged. He indulged in your soft touch, holding you closer to him, afraid that something might pull you away.
The kiss was hot and wet, exactly how you pictured it would be.
You two pulled away, faces inches from each other. A wide smile appeared on both your faces.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time. I’m in love with you (Y/n).” Clark said with a hoarse voice. There. He said it. He finally fucking said it.
You let out a shaky laugh, keeping your eyes closed. “Fuck. I’ve always wanted to say that to you. Guess you beat me?”
His then opens his eyes in shock. “Really?” A hopeful tone.
You nodded then a phone rang.
You both look to your bags.
“Sounds like yours.” You said.
“I’ll check it later. Probably Louis.” He shrugged off looking back at you.
Then realization dawned on you. Quickly you pushed yourself away from him and covered your mouth with your hands.
“What?” Clark asks puzzled. “What is it? What’s wrong”
“This is wrong. Oh this is wrong on so many levels! What am I doing?!” You shout walking to your bags.
“I’m so sorry Clark! I shouldn’t have done that!” You then proceed to take out your phone and message Bruce to pick you up, he replies quickly that he’s around the area. You turn on your phone gps signal for him to find you.
“What? What are you talking about?” He asks quickly as he grabs his bag and bike.
“This was so wrong. I knew it! You’re so stupid (Y/n)!” You shake your head as you continue to walk away from him.
“(Y/n)! Please! Talk to me! Please!” He begs as his softly grabs your arm. He turns you around but you kept your head down. “No this is wrong.”
He cupped your cheeks to face you to him and he saw the tear trails. “Did I do something wrong? I’m sorry if I did.” He was worried and confused, what happen to the happy moment?
You cried more and just shook your head. “I’m horrible. Louis is a good friend how can I do this to her!”
He furrowed his brows for a moment to think and then put the pieces together. She thinks he’s with Louis.
“I’m sorry! I overheard you guys a couple weeks ago in the copying room and you confessed your feelings to her and I just come in wrecking it all! I’m so sorry!” You slipped from hi grasp, just in time for Bruce to pull up around the corner.
Holding your bags close to you you kept our head dipped as you ran to the passenger side and got into the car.
Clark watched like a fool, letting you slip again. He confessed but he didn’t think to clarify with (Y/n) about Louis.
Now she knows so what will happen?
He put his head down, the rain now slowing down to a mild sprinkle. He stood in the empty street, jaw clenched.
A smile crept to his lips as he also remembered that you too confessed to him.
“I might have a chance with her.” He said to himself.
