A Fateful Encounter
It had been only a month since she had joined Knights of the Blood, and five since the beginning of Sword Art Online. The game that had already claimed so many innocent lives. It was terrible what the creator had done, and there was nothing more than wanting to escape the video game everyone was so excited about.
A small sigh came from the brunette as she walked along the path to the next dungeon. It’s only nine in the morning. There aren’t going to be players on the front-lines yet…She whined in her head, however she was proven wrong by hearing metal clash with something that was unknown. It didn’t sound like swords to her ears so it might have been someone using a different weapon.
Gripping her rapier’s handle tightly in her hand she sprinted towards the noise. It didn’t take long for someone to come in view. From the distance she was at she could only make out blonde hair and blue clothing, but the player seemed to be doing pretty well on her own. The closer Asuna got the more worried she was for the now identified female. The woman’s health bar was dipping into the red zone and if she continued to take hits like how she was the blonde could die.
Reaching into her inventory the brunette brought out a healing crystal. I don’t have too many crystals left, but I can’t let her just die in front of me! Once she was in range the crystal activated with one simple command. She noticed the shock on the other’s face as she ran past her.
"I’ll hold it off until your health gets back up! Don’t worry about me I can handle myself until then." Asuna knew what she said was the half truth. If she wanted to she could just defeat the monster right now, but all the XP would go to herself.
