Anyone else ever think about the possibility of Zuko having a glass eye? Like, the potencial for that burn getting infected and the infection spreading to the eye would have been huge. I can totally see Zuko needing to get an ocular prothesis.

The GAang would have absolutely no idea, until one night when Zuko had gone up to his room for the night and Sokka decided he needed something. Sokka bursts in, because knocking is for people who aren't Sokka. Zuko is used to this behavior by now, so he just looks up from where he's sitting on the bed polishing his eye and says "yes?"

Consider:

We've all seen Robin gets deaged fics. We've all seen Batman gets deaged fics. BUT Have we seen a Batman and Robin get deaged fic?

Imagine, you're Alfred Pennyworth. (I know, you need a moment to adjust to suddenly being the coolest and most badass person in the world. I'll wait.) You're at Wayne Manor, still awake at two AM, because your charge makes strange life choices. The phone rings.

You answer, and a familiar voice you haven't heard in a long time, saturated with confusion and stress, asks you to come pick him up. Bruce tells you he just woke up in an alley next to a toddler tangled up in a yellow cape. Sure enough, you arrive to find a seventeen year old Bruce Wayne holding a three year old Dick Grayson, looking at you with pleading eyes.

So of course you call the Justice League, and they are just delighted. Teenage Bruce! Grumpy baby goth boy! Clark can't stop smiling. The fact that Bruce is Dick's favorite person and he wants constant hugs is a source of great merriment.

So while the league works on that, Bruce learns about what his life has become. Maybe he even writes a letter to his adult self full of scathing criticisms. He just, so would, you know? Bruce complains to Alfred about his adult self; Alfred used all the restraint in the world not to comment.

IDK, I have a lot more thoughts, but I just keep picturing the prototype of the batscowl having the unintentional side effect of making the entire Justice League break out in soppy grins. Bruce gets angrier and angrier, but then baby Dick tugs at him asking for Bruce to "Ree me stowy." And Bruce is like "Once this hungry caterpillar is full, it's over for you bitches." Diana can't stop laughing, and now neither can I.

The Name Thing

Me, my sister, my former mother, my former father, and my uncle's former wife all have names that start with the same letter. As I kid, I was often called (names substituted, because I'm not an idiot): "Adam, I mean Amy, I mean Amanda, I mean Ashley, I mean- damnit! Alex! Come here." Anyway, I think this happens to poor Alfred & Bruce all the time, and I think it makes his kids livid.

Jason's Robin Days

Jason: But Bruce, I don't want to go to sleep!

Bruce, pinching his nose: Dick, listen-

Jason, eyes welling up: You're always comparing me to him! I hate you! *Storms off.*

Tim's Robin Days

Tim: I found the answer!

Bruce: *Ruffles his hair.* Great job, Jason.

*Awkward silence.*

Bruce: *sad noises*

Tim: 😐

Stephanie's Robin Days

Bruce: Barbara, for the last time-

Stephanie: Ohhhhhh! I'm texting her.

Bruce: Stephanie! I said Stephanie!

Stephanie: Liar!

Damian's Robin Days

Damian: Father, look at my painting!

Bruce: That's great, Di-Damian.

Damian: 🤨

Bruce: *Sweats.*

Damian: Grayson! Father has begun to go senile!

Dick's Robin Days

Alfred: Get down from there!

Dick: Alfie, I'm fine!

Alfred: Master Bruce, I insist you get down at once!

Dick: *Is so surprised he clambers down and stares at Alfred, slack-jawed.*

Alfred: There's ice cream in it for you if we keep this to ourselves.

What if...

Benders could either be healers or combat benders, but not both (except for the Avatar, obvs). Both are possibilities when your bending manifests, but as you get older and more proficient in one, you lose the other.

So in the North, girls HAVE to pick healing, and boys HAVE to pick combat bending. They're actually told it's impossible for a boy to be a healer or vise versa. So when Katara shows up, that REALLY shakes things up.

And the FN royal family? Always combat benders. Obviously. Except... Zuko ends up a healer. Which Ozai HATES and sees as a HUGE embarrassment.

So Zuko focuses on his swords and never uses his bending because he's ashamed of it. But eventually he learns to accept himself and realizes healing is a gift.

IDK, I just really like this idea.

I've Got a Good One

I don't know how this never occurred to me before! Oh man, this is great. Bear with me guys.

Bruce Wayne is a ridiculously wealthy owner of a tech company that is at the forefront of multiple scientific advancements. He is a white guy with black hair and blue eyes. Now, if I lived in a world where as much weird shit happens as happens in DC comics, I'd take one look at Bruce Wayne's three black-haired, blue-eyed, light-skinned "adopted" sons and be like: "Yeah, those are definitely clones."

The stories don't even make sense half the time?? The first kid is the son of two people who were murdered, but for some reason he was never put in the foster care system?? He just wound up in Wayne's custody. And his parents were from out of town, so there's conveniently no one in Gotham who can verify their existence.

Jason Todd was a street kid. There are few if any verifiable records on him. Everyone knows the Drake family was murdered. Bruce Wayne just stole the dead kid's name for his latest clone.

All of Bruce Wayne's kids are clones is such a popular conspiracy theory in Gotham City that it's widely accepted as fact in many circles. Bruce is used to people speculating about his life, so he wouldn't be so annoyed about it if his kids would just stop leaning into it. "Gotta keep in good shape. Never know when Father might need a kidney." - Jason Todd, to a very excited blogger.

Meanwhile Damian, who is actually a clone, everyone believes is his natural child. He also eggs on the conspiracy nuts, with absolutely no subtlety. "Yes, Grayson and I are very close. I'll miss him when Father begins to age and does the consciousness transfer."

Superman: ....

Batman: What?

Superman: Nothing. 👀

Batman: I'm in the middle of something, what?!

Superman: ... Are they actually-

Batman: Just because I'm a billionaire doesn't mean I clone myself for fun! We aren't all Lex Luthor!

Superman: ... Okay, but that's not a no...

Why It's Ridiculous There Isn't a Nightwing Show

A Nightwing show would be the perfect format for highlighting what's great about the DC universe, introducing new fans to its many characters and providing fanservice to diehards. Why? Because everyone is friends with Nightwing.

Nightwing's show (preferably animated, because I've never seen a good live action DC show) would follow the same three act structure with most episodes. In act one, Dick is going about his day doing civilian or vigilante stuff when he gets a call from someone in the superhero community in dire need of assistance. Act two is Dick trying to help his friend and realizing they need a very particular skill set. Act three is Dick calling up a pal with that skill set, usually getting the response "I'm only doing this because it's you, Grayson." Then they fix the problem.

This format would let the show showcase every piece of the DC universe while still having one central emotional core (Dick) for viewers to attach to. Everyone knows Dick, and almost everyone likes him. You'd also have really fun random team ups. Superheroes that don't normally interact or even who hate each other working together because, well "only for you, Grayson."

It would be awesome, so of course that's why we aren't allowed to have it.

In Chinese numerology, eight is a very lucky number. Therefore, I think it more logical that the Avatar would reemerge (and the comet return) 64 years after the war began, rather than one hundred. Sixty-four (eight eights) is more significant than ten tens, which isn't special at all.

Anyway, I think we all know where I'm going with this. Anyone want to hear about my idea for an AU where the chief of the Southern Water Tribe's son, Bato and his two dumbass friends, Hakoda and Kya find the Avatar and escort him north while being persued by the insufferable Prince Ozai and his douchebag friend Zhao?
