What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
Hopefully nothing at all. With all that happens during the day on the job, Anne's sleeping schedule is irregular at best, so she sleeps when she can. During regular nights, she often exhausts herself until she falls asleep without having the odd moments of lying awake in bed and having intrusive thoughts. It works actually quite well; if she's mentally stable, she can fall asleep right on the spot. She prefers to have her mind absolutely blank.During bad days, it changes. It’s like lying in bed and every embarrassing thing coming to mind. Just with her, it’s every mistake, every failure, every life she took. This causes insomnia which she tries to fight with sleeping pills.
So it’s understandable that she hopes to fall asleep immediately.
