He’d read files on a lot of people who’d ended up with the so called ‘powers’. Potential new agents, M had said, Q had agreed with her. But this… kid ,    he wasn’t so sure if he would be fitting the bill. It’d have been easy to arrange a meeting through the probation officer mister Young was doing his community service under. Q wasn’t sure if that’d be the best approach. At least, he wouldn’t have appreciated it when he was his age. Which was why he just followed him to a pub, ordered a beer and sat next to him at the bar.

    Now, this wasn’t usually his job. He liked to care for everything behind curtains. But he’d done his research about the storm, was viewed as an expert by M, and now had to deal with the consequences of being nosy. 

    He scraped his throat, trying to get Youngs attention, and nodded at the television. Football. Should be easy enough to start a conversation about. If he could do it with paintings in a museum, he could do it with a screen displaying sweaty men kicking around a ball.   

     “ To be honest, I don’t know a lot about football, but this doesn’t look like they don’t really know a lot about football either. ”    That was clever, right? Neutral. Next he could introduce himself, and possibly introduce the matter that M wanted him to talk about.

character in general: when iris was first introduced i was loudly rolling my eyes because, i’ll be real, i thought for SURE she was yet another generic & temporary side-character they were trying too hard to make sympathetic. i thought she was either going to leave or die, and her initial dialogue lowkey annoyed me. but. but. oh my GOD she is SO much more complex than i’d given her credit for. the “date”, despite being awkward as hell, was so endearing. i was almost in tears when she gave noctis that moogle, and she had me by the balls the whole way to talcott’s place.  love her so much, i would die for her.how they play them: mmmmmugghhhhhhhh SO well? u capture her enthusiasm so eloquently and even ooc u embody everything that makes iris so preciously iris.the mun: WHAT A FUCKEN SWEETHEART? i’m still super new ‘round these parts and u have been a soothing, welcoming, n inclusive presence since i had the balls to comment ( wipes tears from my eyes )
