10 Bedroom House | Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire | £7,050,000
Whilst she might’ve hated her old house, the same can’t be said for this one, because it was chosen by her. It’s currently a work in progress, but that’s one of the primary reasons it stood out to her. All of the bedrooms are trashed (therefore not pictured), much of the décor is dated, some of the floors need replacing, but the place has character and potential. And really nice fireplaces.
When she saw the house, she knew she had to have it. A part of her really wanted to make sure that it didn’t get snapped up by some developer and turned into a modernised monstrosity. Lara will convert the largest bedroom into her art studio, and knock another two together to make a library and reading room, but leave the others for when people visit. She’s living out of boxes at the moment, but as soon as it’s liveable, any further changes beyond the cosmetic will be minimal.
The house sits in just over two acres of land. It has a pool, beautiful views of the river (with a nice spot for a new reading chair), and plenty of space for Apollo, his new little sister, and an army of fucking security living in the summer house.
