IS THIS WHAT PLEASANT SHOCK FEELS LIKE?    the words are uttered so softly she wonders if perhaps he thought she was asleep.    being so brash as to let such an honest statement slip seemed unlike him,   but as teresa has recently realised,   there are more parts to james than what meets the eye.    perhaps he hadn’t meant for her to hear him                BUT SHE DID.

the time of running away from this   ( from him & the multitude of feelings he evokes deep in her )   has passed.    it’s time to face it head on.   so she shifts,   turning to meet his gaze in the darkness of the bedroom.    she can hear her heartbeat now,   can feel its uncomfortable thud against her ribcage,   and it is a pleasant reminder that this is REAL.

my boss at P*rkgrounds reportedly still brings me up out of the blue like, all the time, talking shit about my “attitude” and “behavior”

I still have no idea what I did to make him hate me so much.  I only stopped being friendly to him after he stopped being friendly to me, but I never stopped being polite and professional.

Honestly, if I didn’t know better I’d say he had maybe a little crush on me.  Maybe I reminded him of the spooky goth girls he used to be into before his punk rock cred faded and he became a fucking capitalist like everyone else.  I’m so glad Kayt put in her notice so that soon I won’t have to hear about his creepy antics anymore and I can go back to pretending he doesn’t exist!
