I just feel VERY fortunate and lucky as a Niall fan to have had all the experiences and interactions over the last few years that I’ve had. Often times (yesterday was one of them) I can’t even believe that it’s my life. I do invest a lot of time and money and stress in being able to attend these events because every fiber of my being wants to be at anything and EVERYTHING Niall related, and to be there to SUPPORT him and experience the milestones with him,  but none the less, more often than not it feels like a dream.

Yesterday was VERY busy! I woke up at 4:50 AM and took about 7 & ½ hours worth of buses to get to NYC in time for the event and then almost immediately hopped on a bus right after it ended and didn’t get back home (where I immediately fell into bed) until a little after 7 AM this morning. But it was WELL worth it, it’s always worth it.

I think the most special thing about this event for me was the fact that THIS was the first time Niall has performed since Flicker World Tour…the West Palm Beach show to be exact. And that was the very last of the Flicker World Tour shows I attended with my friends. It was really special to hear Niall talk about how the YouTube event was the first time he’s performed since the end of tour and to know that I was there for the END of the first chapter and the very BEGINNING of this one. The happiness that radiates through Niall online and through his videos is the same as it is in person and yesterday you could just FEEL how happy he was, he was goofy, he was adorable, he was smiley and content, and I’m just SO proud. He deserves all the best of everything and I just want to be there to celebrate those moments with him and FOR him as much as I can.

The cherry on top of everything else was that I finally got to meet @skeletonarry / @byesexualniall (Gwen) after knowing her and beta-ing her fics for her for what feels like FOREVER. By the time we got our chance to take pictures with Niall the YouTube staff (or maybe Niall’s team) were definitely rushing people through and said that nobody could have individual pictures, and that we’d have to double up. I had two other friends with me at the event and if Gwen hadn’t been there we both would to have had to taken our pictures with a stranger which is just…weird. But I think in some sort of fate-y way this sort of was just like another bookmarked page in our friendship (especially since it was her first time meeting Niall) that it was something we got to experience together. And honestly what better way to meet a friend for the first time than to have Niall be a part of it and have picture documentation? ✨

A year and a half ago, when Niall signed a contract and up and moved to the Bahamas, he thought he was starting a golf job. He imagined hours and hours dicking around on the course, caddying during the day and playing at night, getting drunk on the beach, learning how to surf, and never being cold ever again. He learned quickly, though, that caddying for the rich and famous (and the rich who think that alone makes them famous) is an acting job more than anything—and he’s learned, just as quickly, how to become just about every kind of person under the sun, depending on what his client wants from him. He’s good at it now, being anyone but himself.

And that’s why he keeps his mouth shut and maintains his distance while Harry Styles and his manager Liam take 18 holes of golf so slowly that Niall worries he might fall asleep standing up.

Niall puts it off for as long as he can, until it’s February fourth and they’ve got ten days until the announcement and Louis and Liam are out of town and he’s alone, bored, and a little antsy in LA.

Harry just landed a few hours ago, Niall knows, but he’s bored. And he’s had a beer or two. And he’s watched a couple episodes of that show, the one where they give people crazy tattoos and watch how they react. And he’s emboldened, maybe, by the way the people on TV don’t look like they’re in pain at all. And then he’s picking up the phone before he can think too much about it, plucking Harry’s contact out from where it sits at #8 on his favorites, and pressing it to his ear.

It only takes two rings before he answers, chipper, on the other end of the line, for someone who’s just gotten off a flight from Tokyo to LAX.

“I’m ready,” says Niall, in lieu of a greeting, “and if I don’t do it right now I’ll chicken out.” —

So sorry to bother you but you were the only person I could think of who might actually still talk to her (I think you used to at least?): do you know if missing-headaches blog being back means she’s going to write again!?

No bother at all. I do still talk to Jessica @missing-headache here and there but I do believe she’s sort of distanced herself from the fandom and Narry fan fics at this point.

She had written something a month or so ago, but it doesn’t appear that she left her fic up and posted on AO3. You might be able to send her an ask and let her know shes missed (because who doesn’t like to hear that? Right?)
