During the reign of British East India Company in India, a lot people were troubled by malaria, and a Scottish doctor George Cleghorn came to the rescue, he made tonic water which had quinine, a component used to cure malaria. The British officers were cheeky fellows and began adding sugar, lime and Gin to the tonic water and thus GIN&TONIC was born. Gin had its own medicinal properties which helped in curing gouts, gallstones and stomach problems. A classic British drink, which not only tasted great but had its own merit. It quickly became the part of Pop Culture and also became a famous reference as James Bonds favourite drink in the movie Dr. No Who says all alcohol is bad, you just need to control your intake.
