This is a quick and easy recipe for Salisbury Steak that is cooked perfectly in a pressure cooker. The onion and mushroom gravy gives every bite a rich flavor.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs ground beef. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup milk. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 egg. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 1 tbsp olive oil. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 8 oz mushrooms, sliced. 2 cups beef broth. 2 tbsp tomato paste. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1/2 tsp onion powder. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Form into oval-shaped patties. Turn on the pressure cooker and select saut mode. Heat olive oil and brown the patties on both sides. Remove and set aside. In the same pot, add sliced onions and mushrooms. Saut until softened. Add tomato paste, flour, dried thyme, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir well. Pour in beef broth, scraping the bottom to release any browned bits. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place the browned patties back into the pot. Close the pressure cooker lid and set to high pressure for 15 minutes. Once done, release pressure and carefully open the lid. Remove the patties and keep warm. Select saut mode again and let the gravy simmer to thicken. Adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the Salisbury steak patties topped with the onion mushroom gravy. Enjoy!
