I'm gonna be honest i don’t know if it’s bc i was revelling in just seeing them together butttt i do not understand what everyone was talking about regarding shane. He just looked normal to me LOL, a little awkward sure but when is he not.
Even during the current interviews we’ve got so far he’s pretty chilled and laidback… at times not even really saying anything. A lot of the interviews have been ronan and keith having their own jokes, and i’m not insinuating anything about excluding people here, just an observation!
I feel like as well, yes he’s popped up at ro’s gigs alone and sometimes even with keith. Oh and yes boyz on block…but. 1. He hasn’t been a part of boyzone since 2019, 2. bob doing little clubs is not the same as being a part of a bbc special, that is gonna be watched by more people than the audience number they performed to, and 3. His tiktok reposts really do not hide that he is a mikey WARRIOR. Probably feels a bit weird without him for such an official filming……

Basicallyyyyy a lot of people know about Shane's EMA's outburst in '99, or at least I think people do or y'know if you're a boyzone fan... YOU DEFINITELY KNOW.
But I think his 2018* outburst is a lot more WIDELY talked about... I mean, even if you look up his name with the late late show attached, you're bombarded with article after article about it. Which like fair enough he swore on national television but... (also I'm sure if you scroll enough it will take you back to the ORIGINAL dancing appearance but hey...)

Pretty much what I've gotten from interviews where the guys have mentioned it is... they were pretty reluctant to go promo TY&G tour in Ireland. They didn't really wanna go on TLLS. And even what I've heard from Keith is that they decided to do it as long as the show didn't play that clip of the band's first ever appearance... And what did TLLS do 😭. they showed it. ⬇️
They played something the group with a highly temperamental member something they didn't want played... Of course it didn't go right!!!
ITHINK. It's worth noting as well that Shane struggled to even get over to Ireland to even do this appearance. I FEEL his 'I busted my bollocks' line is more about that than everyone thinking it's solely about his career. Definitely partially about getting to where they were at that point is their 'fame', but no way did he sit on flights, etc, just to be ridiculed on Tv...he is NOT taking it lightly.
OH AND just in general... 20+ years of every time they appear on a show to promo something new, an embarrassing clip from 1993 is shoved in their faces, bubbling up and poured onto ryan tubridy.

Oh myy goddd this is hilarious ! I know ro has done some acting here and there but I've never actually looked into it. Get him an oscar for this. The storm out was stupid but everything else. perfect.
#1: As far as I know he CAN take a joke, he can play along, maybe even throw a catty comeback in return. but also a lot of the time i do notice an air from him of notttt… finding something funny. He has awful tells when he is very much not feeling the joke too, (Just don't resort to the easy target jokes he's had since forever - lls first appearance or anything about the way he sings,, and then you'll probably make him laugh and get some banter back.
#2: YOU SAYING THIS. just sets off multiple references in my head to articles ive seen. Easily the funniest one is a drunk fan at a festival trying to pick him up whichhhh …Imean first off same. I would too. NEXT THING I HAVE TO SAY about this. right. I think Fires (album) is such a funny concept in the affair timeline…Ro and Yvonne announced their split properly in april 2012 and the album was then released in sept the same year… Ok cool. But I personally see the songs on that album as being about / for Yvonne, especially fires (song)... Honestly he must've thought the album was too good to scrap ( which yeah, nineteen again is myyyy song.) But he met next wife, Storm, in the middle of trying to fix his relationship with Yvonne in 2010??? He was releasing an ex-wife song heavy album while immediately getting into a new relationship. He is fucking crazy.
#4: Ronan DOES keep in touch with bri. I remember hopinggggg for keith & ronan picture back in august when I saw macdust pop out at a Ro golf charity event. But I instead got Brian and Ro -> picture here…

NOTTT i turned up at the venue and had my OWN dressing room bc ronan wanted his own?!

as for Boyzone i do not know them so well however from your lovely and kind of bittersweet Mikey posts i get major overtones of asd as well. Keith adhd possibility? Ronan comes off as too adept and charming and in control socially i feel yet this could be the highest of masking

I DO AGREE WITH YOU! more autistic bband rep pls (positive obvs) there is a very small list of autistic/nd boybanders, but I'm grateful regardless. Robbie Williams is very open about his dyspraxia / adhd etc etc. HIS NEURODIVERGENCE!!! but c'mon… To me he gives autistic vibes - regardless if he has that diagnosis.
