Hello! I see you're one of the American ambassadors. I have a question for you, what are the standard meal times in the US? How late is too late to eat lunch/dinner/etc.? How early is too early? Thank you for your attention and greetings from the Portuguese ambassador!

This does vary a bit, but the approximate standards are as follows:

Breakfast: ~7-8 AM

Lunch (called dinner in the deep South): ~Noon-1 PM

Dinner (called supper in the deep South): Anywhere from 5-7:30 PM

Really between nine and eleven is too early for lunch and too late for breakfast, between two and five is too early for dinner and too late for lunch. Brunch or an afternoon snack would fit into those times though.

Haha, my native language is Portuguese, not that distant from Spanish but I still feel insecure when speaking or typing it! (And yes, I’m from Portugal, hello neighbour ^^) Sorry to bother you btw!

Hello! Yeah I know, that’s why I said it. Every Portuguese person I know speaks English and Spanish perfectly and some French. Meanwhile we kinda potato our way around, can’t even say one sentence in Portuguese and mostly struggle with English. 

(We kinda blame the dubbing, everything is dubbed, but it’s still frustrating xDD)
