god i love c!quackity's inability to let anything go ever. like its kinda heartbreaking, hes dragged a piece of himself from every era in the dream smp with him until now.

he was hellbent on leading (in some form) l'manburg, and he got it. but now hes still clinging to that power and stability he had then, with las nevadas. l'manburg led to him to working with schlatt, which i dont remember enough of to do justice, but he still has schlatts bones in his ender chest right? just waiting to be revived...? dude.

im sure i dont have to explain how he still carries the butcher army/new l'manburg with him....

karlnapity is the one thing where this pattern breaks a little bit. because while to him it definitely felt like karl and sapnap left him, he also left them, but theyre still technically engaged? so like? not entirely disproved?? idk im spitballing here

quackity blames dream for all of this shit starting. with l'manburg and tommy and technoblade, and now hes trying to reciprocate. (god i could do a whole meta on quackity and reciprocity but i will refrain from hannibalizing my dsmp posts more than I need to lol)

and now we've come full circle back to wilbur, which everyone's already talked to death but idk. like you can just tell that hed be happier if he could forget a little bit (ironic lololol) anyway

tldr: c!quackity holds a grudge and character motivation like a mother fucker

i’ve been told that i,,, should post my c!quackity analysis 👉👈

first of all okay so, he shows a clear sign of interest in kinoko kingdom. you know who’s part of kinoko kingdom? sapnap and karl. you know who he was planning to build up las nevadas with in the beginning? sapnap and karl

so las nevadas, of course, i think is a result of quackity trying to prove himself as a strong individual, as independent, he himself says to foolish (and he hints multiple times during foolish’s streams about his interest in kinoko kingdom and the topic of marriage). 

for some time now, we’ve seen quackity take the lead in situations where he isn’t the inherent of official leader. what he’s doing now, he’s been doing for a few months, but only now is he taking further measures to push his agenda, like manipulation, griefing, etc.

example: the butcher army and tubbo leading lmanberg. when tubbo became president, quackity took a significant role in being his advisor, almost, trying to steer tubbo’s decisions during the exile conflict. he was very set on punishing tommy, and very likely contributed to tubbo’s decision in exiling him. he also “carried the torch” for the butcher gang operation, despite tubbo, as the president, being in lead

these are both examples of quackity trying to come into power (+ yk, torturing dream to prove he’s stronger but that’s obvious). and you know what else he did? it was a forgotten sideplot, but at some point quackity was going to revive schlatt and make him his puppet. this was forgotten, however, because it was wayyy back after schlatt died. this however supports his character’s motivations, as someone who does not like to be pushed around.

but my main point is: quackity joined the server same as anyone else, here to have fun. then he was put to the side as a character who wasn’t very important, irrelevant even. and now quackity is not just here to gain power, but to gain respect. and that's what las nevadas is for: it's to become his empire, but at the very start of las nevadas, he wanted to do all of that with sapnap and karl. so imagine the hurt when the two go off to make their own country, and he thinks they purposefully left him out of it. multiple times has quackity felt betrayed/hurt by someone (jschlatt, as he was in a toxic relationship with him), so his response isn't too much of a surprise

when george breaks the news to him, he responds at first with just shock, sadness. not really anger or anything, and he still doesn't seem to be responding with anger.

but he's retaliating in ambition. he's been left behind, "forgotten" by his fiances, and we see him project this onto the people he manipulates. he makes it a point that they will be forgotten, that all they have will turn to nothing unless they join him. it isn't explicitly said, but his point is that they will be forgotten if they don't bring themselves to power (along with him). and yk what? multiple times quackity has been seen as irrelevant, or a side character, despite being involved in multiple large plots

this is his rise to respect, to power, because he doesn't believe people take him seriously. so now he's creating las nevadas to prove that, and make sure he isn't forgotten. not by sapnap, not by karl, not by anyone. las nevadas isn't just a gambling empire, he wants it to be his masterpiece. and at this point, with all the wars he's been involved in, with all the conflicts, he’s aware that you can't just convince people with mere words these days yk? like he said, he says wilbur is right. power is not won through words, it's won through blades. quackity couldn't defeat a technoblade clad in iron armor when he had fully enchanted netherite, so he has to take a different approach than pvp

but, he can still force his way into power. the blade just doesn't need to be physical. i'm sure quackity didn't go after the egg JUST because he hates it, JUST because he could let foolish die there (because how would he have known that foolish would be executed first?) he went after the egg so people could know him as the first person who actually did something to defy the egg. sure pro-omelette exists, but they didn't do anything to fight against the egg. maybe they cleared up some vines, but that was it. 

what did quackity do? he drove the eggpire into hiding, and that was his rise to show just how powerful he can be, even without the server's best pvp skills or op netherite armor. that was a part of quackity’s rising.

so, in conclusion, quackity wants to prove his power, because he doesn't think anyone around him believes he has any

the case of the butcher army

ive seen a lot of butcher army discourse so i decided id toss my two cents in! here are my thoughts on the whole situation :]

the whole dilemma of the butcher army stems from november 16th. nobody but phil, wilbur and techno knew that wilbur pressed the button unrelated to techno. but to everyone else, techno lashing out was what made wilbur blow up lmanburg. this distinction is absolutely vital to how the characters view techno after november 16th. immediately after this quackity and fundy want to go after techno, but tubbo refuses. tubbo decides that the price of peace is too great.

and then tubbo is forced to exile tommy. and quackity brings tubbo and fundy to the butchers army headquarters, and they decide to kill technoblade. 

the point of the butcher army is that they are avenging themselves. tubbo lost a life to technoblade, and he (to his knowledge) lost wilbur and his home to him too. fundy lost his father and the place he was born. quackity lost his version of lmanburg, and the nation they could have had. 

quackity’s insistence to kill technoblade does not start out of malice or pure evil. during the entirety of his stay on the server, quackity is taught that only the strong survive. he loses all of his things nearly on the daily, his home and builds are destroyed without remorse, and the person who became president because of him entirely ignored his insight and opinions. so the only sensible course of action in his mind is to become strong. tear down the people who tore him down and take their place. they never treated him fairly, so why should he?

fundy wants closure. he wants his father back, and even while he searches through philzas things, he doesnt want to damage his relationship with him. fundy is known for following whoever is in charge, in hopes of earning acceptance from them. but thats not the case with the butcher army. because with the butcher army, fundy wants his home and family back. its easy for quackity to sway him. 

tubbo only agrees to the butcher army plan after hes forced to betray his best friend. at this point in time, tubbo has lost nearly everything. tommy, wilbur, his nation twice, his lives twice, and the respect of his cabinet. during the new l’manburg period tubbo is put under the most stress he’s ever been in. in-between grieving and losing his main support, he’s put under intense pressure to be a good president. better than schlatt. better than wilbur. in his eyes, he’s failed that. so why not? why not hunt the man who’s already killed him? tubbo doesn’t believe in “an eye for an eye” because he knows how it feels to lose both. 

so why didn’t they set up a trial for technoblade? why didn’t they put him on trial, when he didn’t put their nation on trial, or when he didn’t put tubbo on trial? but it wouldnt be fair to say that the butcher army was entirely right and that techno completely deserved it.  from technos perspective, the people he was fighting for betrayed him, so he caused a bit of chaos and then left. and when he was settled and distanced from the people who hurt him, he was hunted down.  techno was being wrongfully accused of blowing up all of lmanburg (when in reality he only slightly added to the chaos). he was being used as a punching bag for the rest of lmanburgs grief and anger. him retiring was an entirely acceptable course of action. he was betrayed, but being upset wouldnt make him happy, so he tried to live peacefully.  the main problem is that none of this was communicated.  no one in lmanburg knew that techno wasnt what caused wilbur to set off the tnt. no one in lmanburg knew that techno was retired.

phil was dragged unnecessarily into the mess, which only angered techno further. the butchers army had no justifiable reason to go through phil’s things, and especially not put him under house arrest. they had no reason to make phil watch them kill his best friend. were either of them in the right? of course. both of them were. both parties had reasons to be upset. they angered each other more and more until the damage between lmanburg and techno was irreparable. you could absolutely say that tubbo in particular was right to hunt down techno, but you could also say that techno was right to be upset about the butcher army putting phil under house arrest.  and thats the true tragedy of the dream smp, and specifically the butchers army vs. techno situation. no one is solely at fault. they all had reasons, justified in their own ways. they just happen to be cursed to never be able to communicate and work through their problems. 

so yeah ! those r my thoughts :]

/nm just passionate 😭 you don’t have to defend c!quackity if you defend c!Technoblade over c!tubbos execution because even though c!q couldn’t stop it bc of his and c!schlatts relationship, nothing negative would have happened to him besides c!tubbos death regardless, but if c!techno HADNT killed c!tubbo, he might’ve been killed too, or the whole operation might’ve been compromised, he was backed into a metaphorical corner in my opinion!!

oh anon, how I wish I could read this, analyze it, and respond in a way that fulfills your passion but I am simply Exhausted (mentally and physically) and I hope you know that ahaha

but im also bored so I'll try. first of all, of course you can defend whoever you want, that was me being /lh <3

now, what IS important to note that.. we don't know what might have happened to c!quackity if he didn't comply. he might have been killed too. look back at his pov at the moments before the festival, at his interactions with c!schlatt throughout his presidency. he was terrified of going against schlatt at every turn, and one warning or stern voice from schlatt would shut him up every time he was about to go against him. so from what we know, he really couldn't stop it just as much as anyone in that audience, or anyone hiding above a building, couldn't stop it, and for the same reasons. techno's was a different situation to all of them, but the defence is the same all-round imo

now, the butcher army and his insistence on ranboo's execution are obviously not included in this, because that's just What Happens when he is taught at every turn that violence is the only form of safety or power that you can gain in this world. but... as one Jake Peralta would say it, cool motive :) still murder :)
