There's so much to unpack here. X straight up acknowledging Evil X as a master of exploitation and still trusting them so much. not like he has a choice [PT: not like he has a choice /end PT]. But also

There’s something about the HLVRAI fandom that’s been bugging me for ages, and yes, i get it, there’s tons of posts like this, but.

This is something that really, really needs to be said (imo anyways).

Stop making Benrey predatory towards Gordon, and stop writing off Gordons trauma as something small.

I’ve seen this fairly often with Frenrey, and it’s gotten to the point that, personally, it’s affected my view on Frenrey. And i’m not saying Frenrey is problematic; when done right, it’s cute! And you can ship it however much you like! But the problem is is how it’s perceived.

I’ve seen a few weird fics and art that make Benrey out to just be predatory and just odd to Gordon. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, and besides i don’t want to make the artists/authors out to be bad, but it’s just... weird.

Benrey is a canonically gay man who, in Wayneradiotv’s words, “Lusts after Gordon the entire series” and is “completely unreciprocated” by Gordon. Of course, the fact that Benrey canonically has a crush on Gordon sparked a massive outpour of Frenrey art, or Benrey x Gordon. It was already shipped before, but now it’s probably the most popular ship in the HLVRAI fandom.

And, with all fandoms, comes many problems with the shipping, such as making the characters out-of-character or just making the ship... weird.

The biggest problems i’ve seen so far is Benrey being made out to be predatory and being someone who doesn’t respect Gordons boundaries and the ship being made into something problematic as a whole. 

Again, i reiterate, i’m not attacking Frenrey or those who ship it. I’m sharing my experiences with what i’ve seen and what i think are problems.

See, Benrey has never pushed Gordons boundaries when it comes to him having a crush on him. The most he does is ask Gordon if he wants to kiss during the final act and when he does actually kiss him at some point. He never forces himself onto Gordon at all. 

So, generally, i don’t know where this idea of “Benrey being predatory and not knowing boundaries because he’s an alien” came from.

I’ve seen some... really weird shit with him though (some kinky stuff, Benrey vowing that he’d be the cause of Gordons death in a... sexual? way, etc).

It sure as hell doesn’t help that sometimes, Gordons trauma is completely ignored.

Benrey did some really bad shit. Gaslighting, manipulation, hell even being the cause of Gordons arm being cut off- Benrey did a fuck ton of bad shit and is one of the many sources of Gordons trauma (The only exceptions are Tommy, Sunkist, and maybe Darnold). 

And for the life of me, i cannot figure out why Gordons extensive trauma is repeatedly ignored. I can understand wanting fluff, and just generally wanting cute and lovey stuff in general, but. You can’t ignore trauma.

Especially when it comes to the idea of Gordon having childhood trauma because of him and Benrey being friends as kids.

I’ve only seen this idea- once? Maybe? But i don’t doubt that others have had this idea before, and it just bugs the living fuck out of me. 

Childhood trauma is intense. it’s not something you can just forget (or, in some cases, remember). You can’t just get over it. It takes years to recover from, especially with new trauma added onto it. Hell, trauma you get later in life may take a lifetime to recover from, if at all! 

And consistently going with the idea that Gordon can just get with the item of his trauma is really fucking bad.

And i have to reiterate that Frenrey is not inherently problematic, i’ve seen some really cute art of it and some wonderful ideas. 

But there’s problems that the HLVRAI fandom needs to stop ignoring and actually start working on.

first of all okay so, he shows a clear sign of interest in kinoko kingdom. you know who’s part of kinoko kingdom? sapnap and karl. you know who he was planning to build up las nevadas with in the beginning? sapnap and karl

so las nevadas, of course, i think is a result of quackity trying to prove himself as a strong individual, as independent, he himself says to foolish (and he hints multiple times during foolish’s streams about his interest in kinoko kingdom and the topic of marriage). 

for some time now, we’ve seen quackity take the lead in situations where he isn’t the inherent of official leader. what he’s doing now, he’s been doing for a few months, but only now is he taking further measures to push his agenda, like manipulation, griefing, etc.

example: the butcher army and tubbo leading lmanberg. when tubbo became president, quackity took a significant role in being his advisor, almost, trying to steer tubbo’s decisions during the exile conflict. he was very set on punishing tommy, and very likely contributed to tubbo’s decision in exiling him. he also “carried the torch” for the butcher gang operation, despite tubbo, as the president, being in lead

these are both examples of quackity trying to come into power (+ yk, torturing dream to prove he’s stronger but that’s obvious). and you know what else he did? it was a forgotten sideplot, but at some point quackity was going to revive schlatt and make him his puppet. this was forgotten, however, because it was wayyy back after schlatt died. this however supports his character’s motivations, as someone who does not like to be pushed around.

but my main point is: quackity joined the server same as anyone else, here to have fun. then he was put to the side as a character who wasn’t very important, irrelevant even. and now quackity is not just here to gain power, but to gain respect. and that's what las nevadas is for: it's to become his empire, but at the very start of las nevadas, he wanted to do all of that with sapnap and karl. so imagine the hurt when the two go off to make their own country, and he thinks they purposefully left him out of it. multiple times has quackity felt betrayed/hurt by someone (jschlatt, as he was in a toxic relationship with him), so his response isn't too much of a surprise

when george breaks the news to him, he responds at first with just shock, sadness. not really anger or anything, and he still doesn't seem to be responding with anger.

but he's retaliating in ambition. he's been left behind, "forgotten" by his fiances, and we see him project this onto the people he manipulates. he makes it a point that they will be forgotten, that all they have will turn to nothing unless they join him. it isn't explicitly said, but his point is that they will be forgotten if they don't bring themselves to power (along with him). and yk what? multiple times quackity has been seen as irrelevant, or a side character, despite being involved in multiple large plots

this is his rise to respect, to power, because he doesn't believe people take him seriously. so now he's creating las nevadas to prove that, and make sure he isn't forgotten. not by sapnap, not by karl, not by anyone. las nevadas isn't just a gambling empire, he wants it to be his masterpiece. and at this point, with all the wars he's been involved in, with all the conflicts, he’s aware that you can't just convince people with mere words these days yk? like he said, he says wilbur is right. power is not won through words, it's won through blades. quackity couldn't defeat a technoblade clad in iron armor when he had fully enchanted netherite, so he has to take a different approach than pvp

but, he can still force his way into power. the blade just doesn't need to be physical. i'm sure quackity didn't go after the egg JUST because he hates it, JUST because he could let foolish die there (because how would he have known that foolish would be executed first?) he went after the egg so people could know him as the first person who actually did something to defy the egg. sure pro-omelette exists, but they didn't do anything to fight against the egg. maybe they cleared up some vines, but that was it. 

what did quackity do? he drove the eggpire into hiding, and that was his rise to show just how powerful he can be, even without the server's best pvp skills or op netherite armor. that was a part of quackity’s rising.

so, in conclusion, quackity wants to prove his power, because he doesn't think anyone around him believes he has any

Thinking about how Michael tried Dean to say yes with force versus how Lucifer promised Sam he wouldn’t do any tricks and tried to make Sam say yes through manipulation that stretched his whole life so he wouldn’t notice. It’s about how the “good heavenly side” was obviously cruel and the “bad devil side” seemed good on the outside, but in the end they were trying to achieve the same thing: Forcibly change their Winchester’s will to say yes. Heaven and hell were the same in the end.

The bite happens william still does what he does BUT he conditions michael to thinking that it’s normal!! 

so cut to sister location after more of williams antics and he gets springlocked and michael gets sent there by springtrap!!!

he meets eggs and is like “oh. he’s kinda cute” but ignores it and eggs is like “oh- that’s not okay” “wdym this is okay” and then tricks ennard and gets eggs scooped on purpose and is like “should i be doing this?” then william vc “you’re doing the right thing, mike.”

and then cut to ffps eggs is hiding michael is at the pizzeria and it’s the final night but he and william had a plan!! william would go and haunt like. michaels phone or somethin and williams like “cool” and instead of actually putting all the souls to rest he tricks them so THEY’RE stuck in ucn and is just laughing at henry because he also betrayed henry!!! and killed him!!! 

onto help wanted they find vannie and william treats her like his daughter if he was a good dad n stuff with all the “murder is okay” stuff and michael is SUPER jealous because he did all that stuff for william, why is he treating this girl they found better than his own son? so he just PLOTS TO MURDER VANNIE??? LIKE GO OFF I GUESS MAN

Could we possibly get some fun facts or just random info on Henry and/or Henry and William’s relationship? The way you portray them is rlly interesting!!!

absolutely :D and thank you..okay -rubs hands together- fun facts about henry:-he’s trans! just wanna make sure everybody knows that one-the emilys are a latinx family!-henry was a robotics major!-he’s also kind of a punk, (esp in his college years)-not as much as jen though (rides bikes for life)-henry’s also bi. he’d been in short relationships with a couple of dudes before college, but nothing super serious.-when he did get to college he ended up in an unfortunate relationship with the worst guy on the planet (its will)and uh. more on that under cut (warning for emotional abuse/manipulation)

when will ended up in college he was absolutely ecstatic about recent. events. and took that energy to exploring himself. ended up dating this cute dude who was building scary robots (very disappointed when the robots were for kids and not scary) and like things went really well for a while. will’s in college for ballet, but the bullet wound he received as a kid makes his knee occasionally give out on him. results in injuries. he can no longer dance professionally.and eventually will kind of retracts into himself again, stops trying new things. stops being affectionate, stops giving emotional support to henry. at this point, they were already super far into the fazbear’s diner thing, to the point that neither one of them were going to drop it. william stopped giving henry affection altogether unless he wanted something. the relationship was as weak as a thread at this point, and they might as well have not been dating at all. (even though william would never admit to that.) when it was pretty clear that it was over, henry started seeing maria, his future wife.things between will and henry got slightly better after that. the two of them had their kids, other things to focus on. henry overlooked the things will did when they were together, blamed it on the grief of will giving up his dream career.(for the record, henry doesn’t exactly know about legal guardian. he knows will gets set off by certain things and infers, but he doesn’t know.)theres more too especially about maria but this is getting kind of long,,!!if u want clarification on anything i said here lmk,

Do you do mash up stories? I'd love an interaction between snape and elodin. Ever since i read about elodin getting in a bar,restaurant fight over..was it utilise or further more. It just made me think of them meeting.

He literally harassed Harry cause his mom wouldn’t bone him, then used his position as a teacher to have leverage over students to belittle and harass them. Like???????? NO.

While I can see similarities in the two [using their positions are leverage over other people, being ‘elusive’ and ‘mysterious’], I am not comfortable writing one of the two, so I will not do so.//
