So I promise I’ve not been ignoring this, this just took me a while lol! This was really fun and I’d be super open to more asks on any parts of my DSMP AU (worldbuilding, other characters, everything) in the future :)

As always, reminder that this is ALL c! characters, not the ccs, and my au Part 1! (such yapping that tumblr wouldnt let me post in full)

Ooh, good question. I don’t have a specific scenario in mind (although you have me thinking, I might write one out) but when the two of them first meet Punz actually doesn’t like Dream too much, he strikes him as untrustworthy (which you know, he is, but…) and unfriendly (he’s pretty flat with people he’s only just met, and it takes him a while to warm up) and arrogant (he is.) Basically Dream is EXACTLY like Punz and Punz feels threatened by it at first. But by their third or fourth interaction, once Punz recognizes how much he’s seeing himself in Dream, he starts to like him quite a lot. Because actually, Dream is pretty funny, his subtle sarcasm mirrors Punz’s own, he’s smart and unpredictable, he’s an exceptional fighter, and he matches Punz’s morally gray (well. dark gray) streak and his ruthlessness. They’re such a match made in heaven guys. For Dream’s part, he feels pretty similarly about Punz at first. An untrustworthy money-hungry mercenary who’d stab you in the back for a pair of gold earrings? Yeah, no thanks. But, again, the more the two of them interact, mutual friends forcing them to be around one another whether they like it or not, the more they like each other. Their first meeting is them shooting each other nasty looks and refusing to speak to one another beyond monosyllables, then by the third or fourth it’s “damn this guy is awesome. Funny as hell too.” Not necessarily enemies to lovers, more like really bad first impressions that switch up really fast.

Sapnap and George had been friends for about a year and a half when they met Dream. The pair of them were mostly just exploring across servers when they happened upon this interesting little ruin of an old village. They kinda poked around for a while before all of a sudden this fucking HUGE guy in a creepy mask shows up and starts yelling at them. George is not interested in this whole thing and wants to leave, but Sapnap gets pissed and starts yelling back. Somehow, it doesn’t turn into a fistfight, and they all calm down and manage to have a conversation. Turns out Dream has been camping here for a while and a couple nights ago a bunch of his stuff was stolen by some other explorers (explains why he’s in the middle of the forest with nothing to his name but an iron axe, a black hoodie, mask, and boots.) He thought the pair of them were those same looters coming back for more, and he wanted his shit back. Sapnap, now calmer, suddenly offers to give him some basic stuff to get him back on his feet. Dream seems surprised, and suspicious, but he accepts. Just as he’s turning to go, George offers him some food and a fire. After a long moment, Dream declines, but he does thank him, shoulders relaxed and voice softer. Sapnap and George camp in the ruins for about a week, and during that week they see Dream frequently. The second time George asks, Dream accepts, and the night ends with the three of them hanging around the fire. They make fast friends and Dream fits well with the two of them, even if he does have some oddities: doesn’t always stay with them at nights, occasionally becomes suddenly sullen and withdrawn, will not take off that goddamn mask, gets aggressive when touched, but Sapnap and George aren’t exactly the most normal people alive either: George sleeping all the time, is also frequently sullen and apathetic, Sapnap has a serious temper and can go from the happiest man alive to the angriest in .2 seconds, etc etc. But for some reason they all still work really well together, and balance one another out: Sapnap’s temper and George’s apathy, George’s apathy and Dream’s aggressiveness, Sapnap’s temper and Dream’s aggressiveness bouncing off another until they’re both calm again. They decide to go exploring again as a trio, and though Dream acts very strange about leaving, he agrees right off the bat. The three of them explore other servers and lands, meeting new people as they do (like Ponk, Sam, Alyssa), but after about a year and a half they all end up back at Essempie. (In my AU, people and cities are scattered very, very widely across the world. There are big cities, but there’s a LOT of empty wild space between them. Punz actually comes from a very big metropolitan area, which is rare). What constitutes a server is a group of people staking a claim, pretty much. So at the beginning of the server Dream, George, and Sapnap have known one another for close to 2 years.

He was definitely more than a little confused at first. And by confused I mean he would be withdrawn and hostile, rather than sitting down and thinking about his feelings. I think it would take Punz a while to make his feelings known as well because they both see attachments as liabilities and distrust love, albeit in different ways. Punz sees love as something disingenuous and Dream tends to see it as a threat. But once Punz starts to drop some hints, after Dream gets over his initial reactions, he pretends not to notice to see how obvious he can make Punz get with it before Punz realizes he’s screwing with him. Spoiler alert: preeeeettttyy far.

YES. Shire horse all the way. Dream is actually a huge fan of all animals, but they’re often very skittish around him. Spirit, on the other hand, took to him really well when they first met and has always been happy to see him. Spirit was a gift from Sapnap and George (canon is whatever I want it to be) which Dream originally rejected as horses tend to stomp nervously and roll their eyes and nicker around him, but not Spirit. He changed his mind.

He REALLY likes dumplings, especially soup dumplings. He likes pretty much all meats, and he is a big fan of anything that lives in water (fish, squid, crab, mollusk, seal, anything along those lines.) Anything pastry, sweet or savory, goes a very long way with him. 

This is a tough one because their relationship is complicated as fuck in my AU. To some degree he hates him, to some degree he knows he’s projecting parts of his past onto him, to some degree he understands Tommy is very much a victim himself. To some degree he actually cares about him, feels bad for this kid, thinks maybe in another world they could have been friends. Maybe he could’ve helped him in exile, been that brother figure he pretended to be, helped him in the ways Wilbur didn't. Dream is also not going to acknowledge any of those feelings beyond hate unless someone forces him to in therapy. If he sees Tommy, he’s probably going to try to piss him off or upset him. Tommy is going to do the exact same thing. Plot of dsmp summarized (hj).

Btw how does SQAU!DreamXD act? How does he react when his Admin’s wings are so mangled?

I never really consider XD in my aus, but this would be a fun reason to inject him into one. After all, he's a god. Who's to say he can't shapeshift as well?
