Tommy turned over in his sleep and wrapped his arms around the slim waist of his boyfriend, kissing the back of his shoulder and scrunching his nose as he realized it was probably time to be getting dressed to go to work. It was a good thing Tommy was 'sick', which meant he could stay home and 'rest' in bed, just like he had done a few days before. "Sleepyhead," he muttered, cuddling up closer. "Mm, I know you're awake," Tommy smiled, playfully pressing his lips against the back of Eli's shoulder.
Eli had accepted that he was going to have to schedule someone else to open the shop during the week because of Tommy. But if that wasn't a perk he got as General Manager, maybe he shouldn't have the job anyway. He blinked awake when he felt arms around his waist, letting out a whimper and then leaning back against Tommy's chest, "I wasn't a minute ago." He grumbled into his pillow, "Since when do you get up early anyway." He turned to look over his shoulder with a grin.
Tommy laughed and pressed a kiss to Eli's cheek. "I get up early because I have a boyfriend who doesn't appreciate the beauty of staying in bed until 1pm," he teased, loosening his arms just for a moment so as Eli could face him. "That's better, I like it when I can see your bedhead," the musician smiled, joking, of course. Tommy sighed with content and pressed their chests together as they cuddled close, their legs tangled beneath the duvet. "I like you, a lot."
Eli closed his eyes again, his head falling against the crook of Tommy's shoulder, "I like you a lot too, but I'm still tired." He whined, kissing the skin there, hands on Tommy's waist beneath the duvet. "Don't you have work?" He murmured, his body melting into Tommy's touch, completely relaxed and content in his boyfriends arms.'
Tommy kissed the top of Eli's head. "Nope," he said simply, already sensing that his boyfriend was about to ask why, "because I'm 'sick' and I need to rest up in bed. With my half naked boyfriend. Who I happen to like very much and who I feel somewhat neglected by right now," the younger man smirked, reaching his hands down to Eli's ass and squeezing lightly.
Eli lifted his head lazily, blinking clear green eyes at his boyfriend, "Neglected?" He cocked an eyebrow, still not really functional, and pushed Tommy back against the bed, straddling him, "How do you mean neglected?" Eli said, sitting back on his thighs, arms crossed over his bare chest. "I think you were well taken care of last night." He pouted.
Tommy rolled his eyes playfully and lay back, allowing his boyfriend to straddle him - though he wasn't expecting anything. "I was well taken care of, but you've been awake for almost five minutes now and we still haven't made out," Tommy grinned, tilting his head slightly as if questioning when they were going to do that.
Eli blinked a few times, "Oh okay, I see how it is." He leaned down, pressing their lips together, letting his body settle on top of Tommy's, "I'm only good for my lips, huh?" He asked, grinning against Tommy's mouth. "Really nice, babe. Really nice."
Tommy smirked and kissed back, looking into his boyfriend's eyes, his eyes furrowed as he started to think. "Hey um, can I ask you something?" Tommy said softly, shifting a little as Eli lay on top of him. Gently, he rested a hand upon the back of Eli's shoulder and started to trace shapes with one of his fingers as he thought. "How do you feel about us? I mean, long term..." he trailed off for a moment. "I'm just wondering."
Eli pulled back, glancing down into his eyes, "What do you want?" He asked softly, sitting back up, "I mean....I don't think...I don't know, Tommy." He looked away, "I'm surprised you wanted this at all, let alone want to talk about long term." His voice was quiet, resigned.
Tommy shrugged and gave a half smile. "I know," he said looking at his boyfriend with a timid smile. "Just... After the way I treated you? I need to know. Because, I don't know. I can't fuck this up, and if you want this long term then I really need to get my shit together, you know?" He nodded to himself and looked up at the ceiling, sighing softly to himself. "You deserve better than someone who's gonna treat you like dirt."
Eli swallowed harshly, "You don't treat me like shit." Eli said softly, "I want you." He said with a shrug, "I just...I don't want you to change for me. I'm nothing...like...special. I'm just the guy who idolized you in high school who got lucky enough to catch your attention, "Just...whatever you want to give me, I'll take, Tommy. But I want you to want this too."
Tommy: "You're special to me, Elijah," Tommy said with sincerity in his voice, honesty bright in his eyes. "And I want this more than you think. That's what scares me, babe. The fact that I want this so much. The longest relationship I've ever been in was with Santana Lopez back in High School, and even then I'm pretty sure she was fucking girls behind my back." He raised an eyebrow at his boyfriend and brought himself a little closer. "My point is... I don't want to fuck this up. I don't want to fuck you up. I don't want my shitty attitude and lifestyle impacting yours. If this is worth... Settling down over then, fuck yeah, I'll take that."
Eli stared at Tommy for a long time, shrugging his shoulders and letting out another breath. "I don't know what I want." He said, realizing what it sounded like he was saying, "And by that I mean...not that I don't want this, but that I don't really know. I care about you, you make me feel things that I've never felt, not towards Parker Anderson, or Cam Hummel. I don't know what they mean. You've seen the world, been places, experienced things, I've lived my entire life in the same town around the same people." He leaned down to kiss him. "I want, whatever this is, for as long as I want it." He stared, "And as long as you want it."
Tommy didn't know what kind of answer he had expected with a question like that. Of course, he probably phrased himself incorrectly, the nerves getting to him for some reason. He didn't want an answer that said 'I'll marry you and I want to be with you forever', he didn't want an answer that meant 'I'm with you until I find someone else'. He was looking for whether this was worth something, and it seemed it was. He smiled into the kiss and pressed a hand lightly upon the back of his boyfriend's neck. "You're gonna have to deal with me for a while," Tommy whispered, a slight sparkle in his eyes as he spoke.
Eli kissed Tommy again, softly, "I'm happy to deal with you as long as you want me to." He said quietly, "I care about you a lot. And as scary as that is." He shrugged, "I dunno, I like being around you. You were my best friend for a long time and...I don't know, Tommy." He kissed him again, knowing the physical made sense to both of them, "You're my boyfriend and I like that?" He shrugged.
Tommy smiled and pressed another kiss to his boyfriend's lips. Then another. And another. Soft, sweet kisses. "I like that you're my boyfriend too, and I'm rather glad or else this would be a one sided relationship and quite frankly, I'm not really into that," he grinned, kissing Eli's lips once again, letting the kiss linger this time.
Eli 's body melted against Tommy's, keeping himself up with his elbows, staring at Tommy as he kissed him, his legs falling to either side of Tommy's body so he could straddle him, rocking himself gently against Tommy, smiling, "I'm glad. Unrequited love sucks. See: all of senior year." He grinned and kissed him again.
Tommy rocked his hips lightly against his boyfriend and laughed softly as they kissed. "I thought you too busy drooling over Comic Hummel and Musical Anderson to even see me in that way," he replied, his voice smooth and slightly low as he spoke, bringing their lips together once more. "I was a little shit in high school. I thought I could rule the world, literally."
Eli kissed back, keeping the roll of his hips fluid, feeling his body begin to react, "I thought you could rule the world too." He whispered, "I thought you'd never look twice at a dweeb like me. Someone who writes songs to try to fix the world." He rolled his eyes, "Instead of to make money." He closed his eyes, embarrassed for Tommy's reaction to his words, kissing along the edge of his jaw.
Tommy continued to match his boyfriend's rhythm and moaned softly, his hands reaching for Eli's waist. "I guess I forgot what music was about towards the end," he whispered, "But my music meant something at first, and I'm confident we'll write some amazing songs together... Something that means something."
Eli let out a whimper, "Tommy I've gotta go to work." He smiled at his boyfriend, "You really wanna write songs with me?" He sat up, grinning to himself as he pulled down his boxers, climbing off of Tommy and walking towards the bathroom, shaking his ass a little for effect. Tommy was a hunter and Eli was the bait, it didn't take much.
Tommy nodded at the question but didn't have time for an answer, his mind too distracted by his boyfriend's naked body now leaving the room. Instantly, Tommy stripped off and followed, closing the bathroom door behind him and bringing Eli into a hug from behind. "I'll try not to make you late," he whispered, his breath hot against his boyfriend's ear, a hand slowly reaching down to start stroking Eli gently.
Eli let out another whimper, his ass pushing back into Tommy's crotch, "You've already made me late." He grinned, kissing Tommy's cheek. "You might as well make it up to me." He winked and turned on the water, making a point to bend over to do it, climbing into the shower once it was warm, his eyes closed, ready for the feel of Tommy's hands back on him again.
