It wasn’t uncommon for Nate to be in the computer lab late at night, tinkering away at whatever coding project he was working on. What was unusual was the fact that he had fallen asleep at his desk; completely exhausted from regularly pulling all-nighters and working ridiculously hard to maintain all of his scholarship requirements. He came to with a start, only because someone was gently shaking his shoulder. “What? What’s going on?” Nate asked, his brain taking it’s sweet time to process where he was and what was happening. @inezdeflores

Niko: since when have you been hanging out with that Nate kid?
Niko: dude seems cool and all, we hang out in the computer lab sometimes when we're both working on projects
Niko: I'm just not sure if he's good enough for you and before you ask, no, that's not me being overprotective
Niko: you just deserve someone really fucking great, like rom com levels of great without that shitty behaviour that causes the awkward breakup 3/4 of the way through the film

JOSIE: DO YOU SEE THIS BITCH??????
JOSIE: WHAT THE FUCK IS HER PROBLEM
JOSIE: WHY IS SHE LIKE THIS
PHONE CALL || AUREZ
AURI: had been in a bad mood since this whole shit show started, and the majority of the negative feelings were coming entirely out of concern for her family. When she heard people exclaiming about service, she grabbed her phone from it's place against the wall and called Inez, hoping nobody had gotten to her first. "Come on, Nessie. Answer your damn phone."

Is it the unknown or the information intentionally kept from you that intrigues you the most?
A bit of both actually. I don’t like not knowing something. Usually I seek out the information people try to keep from me. It’s kind of a hobby of mine.
Set the Bar High || Cece & Inez
The Black Cherry. Not exactly Cece’s cup of tea by any means. Back in the day Cece was all about hitting up clubs, drinking herself into a stupor and dancing with anyone that made their way up to her. She enjoyed the crowd and music that seemed to drown out all of her other issues and give her a sense of anonymity. She never got the same feeling in the coven, so it was a welcome idea at that time in her life. Now the idea of a bunch of strange men trying to grind on her against a repetitive, head-ache inducing synthetic beat made her want fry her ear drums. Preferably with magic, just because she wanted to see if it would work or not. She had never actually tried to blow someone’s ear drums up before, but the idea sounded fascinating. She could set things on fire so she doubted it would be a ridiculously hard task outside of maybe trying to contain the frying to just the ear drums and not their entire head.
However, despite her own personal sentiments against clubs, she decided that it might actually be the best setting for the first night out with someone new to town. Cece loved bars, she loved frequenting them and she loved how chill they were. People, for the most part, left her the hell alone which was exactly how she preferred to be. But there were a couple things wrong with the idea of taking Officer De Luca to any of the bars that Cece went to.
First, bars were boring. Cece liked them because of it, but it barely made for a fitting first hang out spot. If the conversation ran dry or it became painfully obvious that the two were not meant to be social outside of work than there was no escape at a bar, just a ton of awkward silences. At least at a club the music drowned out most of the conversation anyways, and if things got too bad Cece could claim she wanted to dance to change the subject.
Second, Cece had no idea if Inez even drank and going to a bar with someone that didn’t drink made things pretty awkward. At a club there were other options, well sort of. Mostly Cece just went to places where they served alcohol.
Finally, meeting Inez at a bar that Cece frequented only for Inez to see that everyone there knew and recognized her probably wouldn’t give the best first impression.
So with those things considered it was not a hard decision for Cece to sacrifice her own thoughts and feelings for clubs and invite Inez out to one. Best case scenario, the two end up having a great time and both get a new friend in the force. Worst case scenario was that things got boring and awkward and Cece was forced to pretend to be drunk and grind against some gross man with a hard on in an attempt to escape from the awful conversation. She had done that hundreds of times.
“So here we are.” Cece smiled and waved her arm out to show the club off. It wasn’t much, but it was one of the most popular ones in Ashkent Creek, “This is where about 60% of Ashkent’s nightlife go on the weekends, so get used to the place. You’ll probably be back here making an arrest dozens of times in the next couple of months.” Cece laughed at her own joke and began walking towards the bar, the music growing louder and louder with each step. Cece called over her shoulder while glancing back at Inez, “Do you drink? This round is on me.” She found two empty bar stools and stole one and waited for Inez to sit down before starting to talk again, “So where did you move here from?”
