Shownu: he’d think it was really cool. he’d admire it a lot and always watch whenever you’re practicing. he’d love discussing and showing you new songs he was listening to even if it’s a little subtly at first. you guys would have playlists you send each other when you’re both too busy. they’re always playlists to match the mood: morning, workout, commute and lazy days. and attached to each message is some emoji to describe the day. somehow it makes everyday brighter.
Wonho: he’s going to be ambitious. like, offering to learn as many as possible with you until you eventually settle on the piano for starters. he’s going to practice diligently and he might even bother you more times than you expected. but more than that he’s going to want to share his compositions with you and talk for hours and hours about arrangements. even if you’re not into composing you like music and that’s good enough.
Minhyuk: expect him to bring it up all the time. he’s going to be real excited more than anything. he might even ask you to play your instruments sometimes just because he wants you to stick to something you enjoy. and because seeing you happy makes him happy. he might brag about it too, that he knows someone who’s so talented. he’d want to highlight your talents and make you proud of them. if you ever have recitals expect him to spread the word and be front row.
Kihyun: he’s going to want to play together. the piano of course because he knows it best and he might even try to show off his skills. but he’s cheesy so he’ll sit with you at the piano and purposely make mistakes, even sing over any instrument you play and try to hit the key perfectly. he’s into music so having someone to relax and goof around with is a plus. but having someone as dedicated to a craft as he is makes it even better.
Hyungwon: he might seem uninterested at first but he’s actually really fascinated by it. he’s going to prefer your music taste sometimes even if he won’t admit it you’ll see your playlist flashing on his phone when he’s knocked out on the couch or dancing to that song he said you overplayed. the times he doesn’t like it he won’t say anything because you’re both sharing headphones and you’re both content. just know if you practice early in the morning he’s hiding your instruments. all of them.
Jooheon: to be honest you two are gonna fight over the aux cord in the car. he’s going to want to show you everything and play all the beats he has and you’re going to want to play yours. he’ll sing along to whatever songs you’ll play. he’ll try to play the instruments you do but if only you’re frustrated and to make you laugh. he’s someone who really enjoys music but in a way that everyone sees and hears and you two become a formidable duo.
Changkyun: he’d actually take up learning an instrument with you. he’d probably be the most interested and active regarding the instruments you play. it’s going to mean him waking up to hear you practice, taking note of little things and learning little melodies to save in his head. it’s going to mean waking up and seeing him practicing on his own. it’s going to mean sharing little tidbits you two come up with and steadily learning together.
