PERSONALLY:

Rachel Berry is a 24-year-old actress & NYADA student, living in New York, New York. She’s dating Jesse St. James, and hopes to someday win a Tony.

PREVIOUSLY:

Rachel Berry has achieved so much, and so many of her dreams - she’s starred on stage and on screen, lived with her best friends in the city of her heart, and given back to the Glee Club that made her who she is, which went on to win the 2015 National Show Choir Championships under her deft tutelage. Her dads also got divorced and sold her childhood house, she dated Sam, one of her oldest friends, and then…well, and then Jesse, who helped her realize that while the offer to be back on stage was tempting, she needed to go back to NYADA first. Since then Rachel has devoted herself to getting back on track with her studies at NYADA as well as making time to invest in a relationship that bloomed when she had least expected it.

Auditioning for another show took a long while, and a lot of encouragement from those she surrounds herself with. Afraid she would lose her drive for the art again, Rachel waited not-so-patiently for the perfect role. When she caught sound that West Side Story was making it’s revival, she had to at least audition. She had landed the role of Maria’s understudy as well as a role in the chorus, which made it easy for her to ease her way back in with baby steps.

After graduation, Rachel took a short break from Broadway, returning to the Spotlight Diner in order to keep enough money coming in to afford her rent, but giving her enough time to really consider what she wanted to do with her future. Broadway had always been a lifelong dream, and she had, had the opportunity to make it happen so young that she decided she needed a new dream. A new something to push for. She had tried television once (a massive flop), but perhaps a small role in a television show that didn’t have her name all over it wouldn’t be the worst thing to give a try? Rachel threw herself into auditions, landing a few small, 3-4 episode roles but she was enjoying it nonetheless. Every day was a different script, and not knowing what was coming next was rather exciting.

PRESENTLY:

Now, after a lot of experimenting and dabbling in various shows, Rachel landed a role with a contract for at least 3 seasons. It wasn’t a lead role, but she would be in every episode and Rachel is thrilled to bring a new, never before seen, character to life.

POTENTIALLY:

Broadway will never be off the cards for Rachel, but she would love to shoot a movie, or play a lead role in television directed by some of the greats. She’d love to collaborate with Jesse somehow one day, but the project would have to be right for both of their careers. Rachel plans to have children one day, but she still has a lot she wants to achieve first, starting with a Tony.
