"Besides, only idiots believe in that kinda bullshit, y'know?" What good did omens do in a world where he could create masterpieces that would explode for miles? He'd rather believe what he saw with his own two eyes and let his intuition shine further than any omen.

Deidara measured the days in hourly increments by the little light that penetrated through the cave's gloom. Ever since the battle with the Uchiha, Deidara finds himself on a tight leash, keeping mostly to himself. The only rewarding thing was that he could keep his clay on him.
So when Akatsuki summoned him to meet their leader, Deidara's mood was sullen at best. He peered around the office, blinking back irritation. "I don't know why you brought me here," Deidara spoke, breaking the silence. "What does a 'peaceful' organisation like Akatsuki have use for a bomber, hn?"
"What brings you to the medical office at this hour? Did something happen?" // Mizuna && Deidara
"Take...a huge guess, dumbass."
White spots blur the remaining vision which isn't tainted by the gash upon his forehead. Most of it has dried and, as a result, been mopped with the fabric of his cloak... All across his flank were puncture wounds and a scattering of burns.
Deidara hissed a breath, teeth gritting so hard his jaw aches. It's all he can do not to keel over. Fuck.
“it is rare to find another soul in this place.”
"Trust me, in this place that's a good thing."
"Honestly...this cave is a buzzkill. You'd think being recruited would give you some rewards. I'm no better off here than I was back in Iwagakure, hn."
"Not my fault your music is lame as hell, hmm." Once again he's become Akatsuki's scapegoat.
🍁 - What is Deidara's hair care looking like recently? Some Sudsy no Jutsu or Boom & Volume by L'oreal?
When he has the means to, Deidara uses a variety of luxury shampoo, often imported from whatever village is the closest, lol. He isn't vain as such, but he doesn't like being dirty either.
When he doesn't have shampoo on him, he'll use natural ingredients, making them into a sort of hair oil. Usually crushed flowers or some herb mixed in with a liquid base.

“So, you're the recruit, huh?” Deidara cannot help but scrutinise. She's young —perhaps closer to his age — but there is wariness in his tone. Who in their right mind would want to work for Akatsuki willingly?
“Where'd they find you? No offence, yeah, but you don't look like the type to join this damn organisation.” His hands itch, flexing in on themselves tightly.
If he were a better person, he'd tell her to run. Find another village, somewhere. Anything but the dank cave they're forced to inhabit. “Just don't get in my way, hmm?”
