Things are tenser than ever before during Sinbad's latest trip to the Kou Empire. He has Ja'far at his side this time under the guise of being present to aid in legal proceedings, even though it's more like protection/another set of eyes/partnership and of course, espionage.
After dark and out spying for Sin, Ja'far is caught by none other than Kouen himself (some...how...), and fisticuffs turn into Kouen forcing himself on the assassin in order to defile something of Sinbad's. There's no lust or longing, just an urge to destroy something so pretty and tells him so. Ja'far puts up a an intense fight and takes it like a warrior, and is mostly disgusted and livid, and even embarassed he couldn't defend himself. He eventually escapes Kouen's clutches, but not before everyone gets off lol. He furiously reports his failure to Sinbad, who wants to comfort him, but Ja'far rejects him. Sinbad lets him go for the time being, but finds him later sitting alone, and they enjoy just being alone together without having to explain anything.
