1. At night when Lip was trying to fall asleep but couldn’t for the world, his mind kept wandering to Rory, her face, her voice, her smile.
2. When Lip was walking through the fair and was suddenly surrounded by a familiar scent - Rory’s perfume. He searched for her, but got to the conclusion it was either him mind playing trick on him or someone with the same perfume had been there, which was the most likely option. Nevertheless, he spent the rest of the time wishing she was there.
3. When he first checked his phone in the morning and there was a text, his mind immediately wished it was from her, it wasn’t, but the urge to text her almost took over him.
4. He was talking to his mom and she said something that remotely sounded like Rory’s name, Lip didn’t pay any attention to what she was saying from that moment on, his mind wandered off to everything Rory related.
5. He was alone at home, moving about the kitchen throwing a little something together to eat when he had this overwhelming want, need, to have Rory there with him, doing all the mundane stuff with him.
AND THE ONE TIME HE DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT - He was, for once, walking home from the mall and happened to walk by her house, her room’s light was on, so without letting himself think about it too much, he pulled his phone from his pocket and called her. “Hey, I’m outside, wanna hang out?”

1. Lip had talked Rory into sitting in front of him in the motorcycle, so she could feel what it was like to control it, to drive it. He sat behind her and placed her hands on the handle bar, his on top, of course. That counts as almost holding hands - right?
2. If you’ve watched Twilight you’ll know what it’s like to sit in the movies with someone whose hand is on the arm rest, it’s almost impossible not to reach out. Lip had watched most of the movie without thinking about it, but as soon as he spotter her hand, right there, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. When he finally reached out to take it, the lights blinded him as the movie ended and everyone started getting up.
3. It’s not like Lip had never walked with Rory before, but he didn’t think his hand had ever brushed against hers. As soon as it happened, he moved his hand to take hers, but never got to do it because someone was calling for them on the other side of the street.
