“Don’t worry - I’m just leaving. I need to get back home to Evander.”
Aoife stood in front of her mirror, nervously tucking her hair behind her ears then untucking it, trying to find the perfect casual look for what she kept telling herself was a casual dinner. “Between friends,” she said aloud to her reflection. Just because her dinner date was unbelievably attractive didn’t mean anything was going to happen, she reminded herself. Clad in a simple dress and flats, she finally decided on leaving her hair untucked. A swipe of lipstick over her lips and a spritz of perfume and she was on her way out the door. They’d agreed to meet at the restaurant. With her schedule being what it was she couldn’t risk leaving the house without her car when someone could call her at any moment. Pulling up, she saw him standing there and had to take a second to remind herself to breath. Pulling into a nearby spot, she put the car in park and took a few deep breaths, once again repeating the word “friends” aloud, then slipping out of the car and walking towards him. @tripp-shephard
Chase did not have anything planned today after his meeting, and so he decided to just walk around town. Chase had been somewhat MIA because of work, being away at a medical conference left him with so much work to get caught up on and also cases to review; which took him hours to do but he was glad to get them done.
This was one of Chase favorite time of the year, he had gotten everyone’s present expect for two people and for once, he did not wait till the last minute like he did last year. He man smiled as he walked down the busy streets, watching people get their Christmas shopping done. In the distance he noticed Tripp who he had not seem in forever. “Hey!” he shouted before running toward his good friend, “It’s been ages since i have seen that cute face as yours that is not cute as mine though” he added as he teased his friend. “How have you been?” @tripp-shephard

“I can’t believe how tiny he is.” The words were whispered quietly as Vienna pressed a gentle kiss to the top of Evander’s forehead. It was the first few moments of privacy with just the three of them since she’d given birth and she still felt nervous about just holding his tiny frame in her arms. “Tell me, what is it you’re thinking?” She tipped her head up slightly to look in Tripp’s direction.

“Well I guess this is it. Final shift here done and dusted for a while. I’m not going to know what to do with myself in the meantime but the next time I step foot in here will be when...”

“Alright, my mom is coming over this morning so I’m going to need you to get up and look like you haven’t just spent the night over here.” Vienna mentioned as she rolled out of the bed and pulled his shirt on in the process without really thinking.

“I think I’m late.” Vienna swallowed. There were nerves etched across her features as she emerged from the bathroom, fumbling with her clothes a little but she didn’t really know how else to process it.

"Hey," She looked up, trying to hide the fact that she were feeling jittery as she sat in the waiting room. "I was starting to think you weren't going to make it anymore."
