@withinycu has seen through the Looking Glass
Even if it’s improper, Alice stares at the person across the way from her– eyes narrowing slightly as she focuses in on them. She knows she’s seen them somewhere before, but it’s as if the memory is in another world; locked behind the looking glass, so to speak. Still, her memory of them isn’t as they are now, but as they were once upon a time, in another world.
Oh dear, I’m making no sense at all again, aren’t I? Come now, Alice, they’re just another person, and it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Disobeying the customs of the time, she approaches the person without proper introduction, and begins, “Do forgive the interruption– but I feel as if I know you. But– not as you are now. As you were a long time ago, in another world, if that makes any proper sense.” Her brow furrows, trying to make proper sense of that statement herself before continuing, “I would’ve been a child as well, if that clears up any confusion you may be experiencing.”
