tess had made sure to save all of the snack options she had for allie. it was her plan to leave them all for her. she knew that if it were monty, she wouldn’t eat either. but she hoped that if she left them there for her, she’d eventually eat them. she walked into the room quietly, knowing that allie had tucked herself behind the curtain. “a-alie? i um, i brought you water and some snacks. i can just... leave them here for you... if you want?” she wanted to make her eat something but she didn’t know how.

it was quiet and for once cassandra couldn’t stand it. the silence was a reminder that there was something missing and it wasn’t good for her to get worked up about it. it was part of the reason she’d originally offered up her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. but for whatever the reason, there was no one to be found. “distraction, distraction,” she hummed, spinning around in the hallway trying to figure out what to do. the grumbling of her stomach answered for her. food, she needed food. excellent. she made her way to the kitchen and began building a sandwich when allie walked in. “oh hey, i’m making sandwiches, do you want one?”
