“Maybe they were right, you never did change.” Brooks thought taking another shot with being together would be good but it all just felt like they were repeating history.

► ♕SPENCER&BROOKS ( @bvlletproof )
It’s been months since Brooks has seen the man from the bar, what seemed to be a random chat over some beers turned out to be an unlikely friendship between a rockstar and a businessman. He enjoyed the text messages they’ve had filled with stories and absolutely random things, Brooks hadn’t met anyone like Spencer before and was intrigued by him. So when he told him that he was back in the city, he immediately asked him if they wanted to hang out and grab a bite. Brooks was used to taking people to fancy restaurants whether it’d be clients or friends so when he sent the address, he hoped that he didn’t mind it.
[ Brooks ]: Hey, man. I’m at the restaurant. Just tell the hostess my name and she’ll lead you to the table

“I can’t even look at you.” Brooks mumbled while he forced his gaze onto the stack of documents he needed to sign. He couldn’t believe the utter betrayal the other had done to get back at him. He wanted to settle the dispute like civil adults but everything had gotten out of hand that he felt like he was backed up into a corner. He felt helpless and it was as if his whole world had crumbled down to rubble. “We could have talked it out, been adults about this.”

“i know i don’t look like it but i am a business owner.” a lot of people underestimated his abilities to run a business considering his age and how he looks, he looked to be about a college graduate which he technically was. he graduated with a degree in business and went onto to start his business that fluorished due to his goal to support his family. there was no room for a disaster to occur because his family relied on him for support. “it’s hard to believe, i know. i’m too young and handsome to be one but i am.” brooks showing his business card to the other, “i look better in a suit anyways.”

“just stop talking for a second.” and without a second thought, brooks had connected his lips against theirs with his hands cupping their face. he had been hopeless in love with the other for some time but every time he would try to tell them, something comes up. he was sick of waiting, finding the right moment so he took his shot. his lips were pressed against their soft lips, hoping they might let him deepen it. let him show true and genuine his feelings were for them.

“first of all, i’m adorable.” brooks chuckled before picking his glass of rum and taking a swig of it, it’s been too long since he last saw the other so it was great to spend this time with them. they basically grew up together and they’ve changed so much. “second, i’m probably still better than you in beer pong.”

A mechanic by day and a bartender at night, Brooks loved his life just as much as any other despite the hours he had to work. He was at his bar, tending to the drinks like every other night he’s there. As he looked at the crowd of people that filled the place, he was happy that people were enjoying themselves. He created this space for people who just wanted to relax and forget about their problems so when he spotted a familiar face coming through the door, a smile was plastered on his face. Immediately, he started making her drink. “Nice to see you again. How’s work?”

“what’s better than eating ice cream that you stole from a fridge at a random person’s halloween party? i genuinely can’t think of anything else.” brooks scooping a small lump of chocolate gooeyness into his mouth before offering some to the stranger he shared the couch with. he liked crashing parties especially the ones in the rich neighborhoods as he usually could pass as one of the lux kids despite being a part-time mechanic.
