Overture
The first mutant endeavor of it’s kind, and two of the most prominent, certainly outspoken figures in the community, it was a no-brainer. Scott had extended the invitation to Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr and via email, along with a brief summary about the concept of a mutant shield team.
“Let’s just hope this goes better than your talk with Stark.”
He was waiting with Emma, in the temporary offices SHIELD had afforded the project. It was a plain space. Nondescript furniture and the glass walls and doors adorned with the SHIELD logo that marked all her headquarters. Emma, no doubt would have her comments, but Scott liked it. It was in a northern wing of the campus, away from the bulk of the noise. Scott’s only addition was the wall of pictures, each mutant student’s headshot along with details from their files and other observations added on sticky notes.

He found the professor in the park of all places, sitting by himself squinting at a chessboard. Scott must have run past this place a thousand times and not once had he noticed a chessboard here.
“Professor,”, he called out as he approached. “well I hope you’re at least winning. May I?”, he said gesturing to the empty seat opposite.

"What the fuck is happening today? The maid is complaining about how much she has to clean, the driver that he has to drive when I'm late and the cooker is complaining that she has to cook breakfast in the evening. Like, Guys. I'm paying you. Stop complaining and work."
"By the look on your face right now, I can tell that the best solution to what you are thinking is make out with me."
