Kate had set down her bow for the day and decided to let herself just relax and chill out. She found a bar she hadn’t been in before and headed inside, sidling up to the bar and taking a seat on one of the stools. She smiles at the girl behind the bar as she pulls out her license and slides it to her. “Whiskey sour, please.”

Kate quietly creeps into Billy’s room and slowly slinks into the bed. She knows Billy was awake, he was always awake on nights she needed him. She snuggles against him and sighs softly. “Can I sleep with you?”

And Kate understood that feeling well if only because she felt the same way. Having Clint for a partner and a sort of mentor had been a saint when it came to her mental state. As well presented as she was on the outside, Kate was a disaster on the inside. Clint might be the only person in the world to see her for something other than a snotty rich girl with her daddy’s credit card. He saw past that to the pain and sorrow.
“Yeah, so are you. Now stop being an idiot and pass me the coffee.”
