He walked along while talking on the phone. “I know it’s not the same, but I have to try.” It had been years for Caroline since his death, he wouldn’t expect it to be the same. He had to see if he could still fit in her life though. No time had passed for Stefan and he was still very much in love with his wife. He’d survived Hell and now he was back from the dead- he wasn’t afraid to put himself out there. “Well, I’ll know soon enough and I’ll keep you posted. Bye, Damon.” He stopped to shove his phone back into his back pocket, but heaved a sigh. He no longer had enhanced hearing, but he could feel someone approaching him.

She was able to get a position at the hospital in Mystic Falls with no hesitation. Higher volume and an impressive resume even before New Orleans gave her the in she needed. She’d practically had the job before she’d arrived but now she was here- paying her dues in the emergency department. "Hey, don’t worry about it. I promise I’ve seen worse.” She attempted to soothe the patient.

Until Maverick worked his political magic, the feral woman was a prisoner. Her body was covered in scars from the building collapse and many added ones from the fights. They were in full view while she crouched into herself in the corner of her cell wearing as little clothes as she could without being naked. An unaware rat was stupid enough to cross her path so she snatched up the rodent and dug her teeth into it. The taste was putrid and she was tempted to spit out the offending liquid but instead she swallowed the mouthful she had and squeezed the rest out onto the stone floor. Her fingers lazily pushed through it, a vague recollection from a former life. She had no idea she was being watched.

Camden fidgeted with the frames that perched on her nose. She’d only been to Bite Club a few times but never had she actually booked a feeding booth with herself as the menu. Sure, she’s been there before, but she would weave through the club crowd and come upon a vampire she might fancy for a fang and fuck. Was she truly this desperate? The answer to the question she never wanted to ask herself was undeniably, yes. The movement of the curtain signaled her hungry visitor’s ingress, and her nerves forced her eyes downward. She spoke, completely unaware who she was speaking to. “I’m sorry, I’ve never done this before. Well, this way.”

Kellen’s time not spent doing court business was mostly spent drinking or generally having a good time. The present good time and accompanying refreshment was interrupted by a rowdy patron, and judging by the temper, probably a wolf. Kellen’s near permanent smirk morphed to a grimace before the bouncers came over to grip him up. “Okay- bai!” The Fae called after them, his smirk returning, happily. “About time they took the dog out, am I right?”
