A monster was the apt word to define Kodi, the shadow person. During her childhood, she led a normal human life, but her strength and temper seemed surreal. Everybody around her seemed to fear her, even though she was just a child.
Growing up detached and feared, she built up a wall. A wall which she never wants to break. Once, when her wall broke, she lost control and all hell was broke loose. Injuring someone she cared for dearly, causing him to be hospitalized for a month. But, that was the past, and she is somewhat over it.
Times like this, she wished she was normal. The darker the aura surrounded her, the harder it was to resist the powers she’s striving for. Kodi knew if she kept on using her powers, the darkness will engulf her completely. She won’t be herself anymore. No light energy, no nothing. She’ll merge with the shadows for good and won’t have a way to get back. The thing is, using her powers is her addiction; Like alcohol is to humans, once they got used to it, they crave it more.
This time, she needed to let her emotions out. Even if it meant to a person she rarely knows. She never liked showing her emotional side to others, but alas she gave up on that thought. Trying to breath steadily, she uttered a few words, almost heaving, ❝ I’m a horrible and selfish person.. This needs to be stopped. I need to be stopped. ❞
