I’ve never really shaken the feeling that if Kubo had had the chance to keep going with Zombie Powder that C.T.Smith was going to somehow be the twist final boss. It just really seemed like Kubo really wanted to have some kind of dramatic thing were the nice guy/best friend/trusted ally turned out to be a villain and it keeps coming back to Smith as a prototype.

I hope the announcement is the revival and reboot of ZombiePowder so we can get to see more of C.T. Smith, aka Proto-Aizen. Hopefully, Kubo learned his lesson with BLEACH. He wrote himself into a hole and just like we saw with Aizen, he pulled some bullshit to get him back out.
