Barely Holding On For Tonight → Lucinda & Cerise

Lucinda could feel her night terrors amplifying each time she attempted to sleep. No longer was she plagued by the simplest of nightmares, no, these were full fledged night terrors and the petite brunette had never learned how to properly deal with them. It seemed almost ludicrous that she still got worked up over them.

But this night, this night was different. She had managed to sneak out and what followed was more than blissful. Little did Lucinda know that it would all be temporary, that she was caught in the mids of a lie; a lie, she continued to tell herself. No, for once she decided to take what was good and keep it; share it, tell the world if only she was capable of. But there was one person she could trust with her darkest and most joyous thoughts alike and now, now she was only a few feet away. Perfect. 

She carefully made her way past the sleeping patients, making sure not to wake anyone before continuing her way to the, seemingly, sleeping Queen. Without further ado she knelled down by her side and carefully nudged her shoulder; making sure to keep her voice low as she spoke. "Cerise? Cerise please, are you awake?," she whispered, eyes fixated on the dark heap that she believed to be her friend.

A Royal Mess | Cersie and Gabby

.With the clock striking noon, and a voice over the intercom motioning for all of the residents to go to the dining hall for lunch, Gabby looked up from her bed where she had been sitting for almost all of the morning. Her bags still unpacked and her body still tired and worn down. But she got up,10 minutes late as it, her feet that were only covered in hospital socks shuffled her down to the hall. Arriving in the hall after most of the other patients, she grabbed a small bowl of grapes and what looked like a peanut butter sandwich before looking back at the tables.

The choices of where to sit were slim to none and there was no table that was unoccupied. And so, when she caught sight of a table with only one person she made her way over, letting her food plop onto the table before sitting and looking at the girl across from her. The girl who seemed to act as if she was a queen or some shit like that.        "Halloween was 2 months ago."  Gabby spoke as she took a bite of one of the grapes.
