If you’re planning to go to Disney and have never Disneybounded before, you’re really missing out! Over spring break I spent two wonderful days in the parks Disneybounding and never looked back. Now I’m trying to figure out more outfits to wear during my DCP in the Fall!
For both Disneybounds I used skirts that I purchased from Caitlin B. over at C80sThingamabobs. It’s honestly the best Etsy store I’ve found where quality comes with the price. I wore each skirt for 12+ hours (the Magic Kingdom day was more like 18!) and they held up perfectly. If they can withstand that I’ll bet they can get through anything.
The skirts were perfect princess length for twirling. For reference, I’m 5′ and realized that I hadn’t specified a length, just a waist size, but they turned out perfectly.
This was the Snow White-inspired skirt and it comes with a lovely red bow on the back. I paired it with a blue shirt reminiscent of Snow White’s top, and it actually matched the blue waist on the skirt perfectly!
For the Magic Kingdom I channeled my inner Ariel. And, yes, it is an amazing feeling when she spots you from her gigantic float in the parade and realizes that you’re twins for the day! Again, the skirt is perfect for twirling. It has a perfect purple bow on the back and–I forgot to take any close-ups of it!–there’s a little dinglehopper there, too. This skirt is covered with sparkles and while it may match Ariel’s fin, soon your entire body will be covered with green sparkles. To be honest, I love glitter and it’s Disney World, so this was not a problem whatsoever. I actually loved that by the end of the day my black sneakers were glittering–Tink said I’d brought my own pixie dust.
I’d definitely buy more skirts from this shop. I had so many people compliment me on each day and not only that, these outfits really make you feel like a princess.
Plus, every time I had a question, Caitlin would answer right away. Even though she was working through an injury. How amazing is that? Check out C80sThingamabobs and get a skirt to match me this fall!
