Once Upon A Dream | Self Para
"Goodnight Tyler.. " Margold whispered the words while their hands pulled away slowly and she began to ascend up the stairs. She held the bottom of her dress as she climbed the staircase to her room.
Upon her reaching the top of the stairs, Margiold turned over her shoulder, watching her boyfriend vanish up the stairs of Huflfepuff boys' dorms.
"Thank you." she whispered, turning back over her shoulder and making her way to the third door on the left. Somehow she had managed to beat her roommates back to the room. She thought she would have been the last one to return, of all people. She should have known, Tyler was a man of his word
The little Wood wandered through her room, some words creeping back into her head.
"They are just words... "
She muttered. But those words seemed to waltz through her mind. Almost without thinking Marigold grabbed her magenta velvet cloak with the white fur hood and put it on. She quickly began to leave the Hufflepuff commons, walking until she found herself outside walking towards the doors that led her to Hagrid's hut.
She pulled the hood over her head, allowing only the crown of her head to be seen. As she walked along the grassy path under the night stars, she could see the black ruffles of her dress occasionally be seen from under her cloak. As she wandered, she could see faded images of her and Tyler gliding along the dance floor only hours ago. Spinning to the sad melody that seemed to hold them in trance. While the dream played on, a pair of icy blue eyes seemed to form the edges of the scene.
Tell your date, whats-his-face, I said hi...
Marigold continued to watch the scene. All of it happening in slow motion. The spun around again, but this time when the boy's face was seen, it wasn't her date... But someone else.
"I know you... I danced with you once upon a dream.." The blonde boy kept her close, spinning her gracefully to the powerful tune. Every down beat was another turn for the pair. Around Mary, fog began to settle giving an errie vibe to the walk that was supposed to be pleasant.
"That look... I know that look. That look is so familiar a gleam... " She muttered, folding her arms lightly under her velvet cloak. The air around the girl seemed cold, brittle... As if the air wanted her to feel what the words could have met. Marigold's walk slowed, the look in her eyes absent as she wandered through the misty night. The image came back to her, the dance even slower than before. The lighting of the dream became more dark as each moment passed, but the blue eyes stayed around the edge... His blue eyes
He's bloody lucky to have a girl like you.
The voice hissed. Marigold couldn't make out who it was at all. The words kept dancing in her head but no face to put with them. It almost scared her.
Agreeing to go with him to an event like this.
Marigold kept walking through the phantom night. For the final time, the dancing Hufflepuffs returned to her mind. As if the dream ended, the pair faded into smoke, evaporating from view. Marigold's black bowed pumps stopped in the grass, her eyes slightly widened as a ghost appeared before her. His face.
You're far out of his league.
Aedan's face in the ghost that appeared before the young girl made her stop. The wind whisked around her, lightly lifting the edge of her cloak and skirt, only to lower them slightly. As the wind caressed her cheek, the girl shivered, folding her arms slightly tight.
"What did he mean by his words...? Wh-Why would he, or anyone, say something like that...To me..? " Marigold looked up at the ghostly apparition. "Why Aedan...?" In a whisper her final words slipped out. "Why..." Upon the word that seemed to be lighter than air itself, Aedan's figure vanished, leaving the absent-eyed girl alone in the open field; with nothing but the wind, the fog, and the ominous forest to keep her company.
