Carleigha wasn’t much for celebrating her own birthday, this years had come and gone and she hadn’t even realized it. Even when she was alive she shied away from it. Her mother had died when she was born, her father had left, it just never seemed like something to celebrate. However when it came to those she loved and cared about, she went all out. Gift bag tucked under her arm and cake stand in her hand she made her way up to Tuah’s door, fulling intending on celebrating his new year of life whether he liked it or not. Knocking on the door she grinned up to him as he opened the door. “Helloo Birthday boy!”

Elias had never really been a man of habits, he liked to shake things up a bit. However since moving to Astoria he’d gotten used to having a morning run. There was something soothing about it. Maybe it was the breeze coming off the ocean, or the rising sun. There was just a certain magic in the air he loved to breath in in the quiet of the morning. It left him buzzing and awake, ready to face the day.

As alive as he felt in the run, the man had been addicted to coffee for as long as he could remember. There was no good day without atleast two cups of coffee and Java was a common end to his run. Catching his breath he caught up to the door, stepping inside welcoming the familiar smell of the bean. If only the man would sell beignets he would be in heaven. “Good morning, Tuah. How are you doing this fine, yet cold morning?”
