Beth thought that her heart was going to beat out of her chest as she stepped into the coffee shop, Joan by her side just in case.
“Canonicallyace?!” a familiar voice called out from her left, and she turned to see the face that matched it, a face that she never thought that she would see away from a computer screen.
Her growing smile in reply was apparently enough of a confirmation, and before the ‘cookiemonster!’ had even left her lips, she found herself enveloped in Laura Hollis’ arms.
She was pretty sure that it was the best hug that she had ever had in her life.
