Cabin trip

Good news! The vet says that Sophie is well enough to go on our upcoming cabin trip! She is restricted to light activity, so we can't do any hiking, but that's OK. We will take slow, gentle sniff tours around the cabin area, and I will fish, and do elaborate campfire cooking, and crafts, and puzzles.

I might also go to the Elk Visitor Center*, which I have not done before because dogs have to wait in the car, and there's always so much else do to that dogs can come along for. But since Sophie will be Taking It Easy, it might be a good time to go.

(*If you are thinking, "Hm, there are two ways that name could be interpreted," you are correct, and it's both! There is a building with exhibits for human visitors to learn about elk, and fields that are specially planted with snacks for elk visitors, and observation points where humans visitors can see the elk visitors.)
